Ok guys so i've been smoking day in day out for about a year (as most do) and today i quit. I also have anxiety so the withdrawal sucks.

Alot of ppl say thy dont get the WD or it is mild but for me its a pretty crappy ordeal. Especially dealing with the mental dissappointment i get when quitting.

I mainly stopped because its messing my stomach up pretty bad. I cant run or brake a sweat or my stomach dries out and i get sick. SO its really killing me at work.

Anybody been in a similar situation? or have any advice for me ? thanks

Instead of quitting overall maybe only smoke on the weekends or days you don't work ;)

You may be alittle familiar with the term 'pot head'. Well that applies to me so i am unable to curb my use =P I'll have to just quit. Also my stomach hurts worse when i go into withdrawal. So its not like i smoke and feel worse th next day. Its there regardless.

You might want to talk to Mulder or Scully about that dry stomach. Seriously, what are you talking about?

Drugs effect everyone different. Who are we to say what it does for him? He and he alone knows his body the best. I would recommend you go see a doctor about your pain and maybe get on some anxiety pills.

Hmmmm...weed withdrawal. I might not be able to sleep well for 1 or 2 nights but nothing hardcore. That's why I consider myself "sober" even if I smoke weed (quit a 10 year opiate addiction).

I have anxiety, depression, and bi-polar disorder and smoking has helped me a lot, i've experienced these withdrawals and instead of just quitting cold turkey gradually lower your use. you'll find that this will help drastically, for me smoking day in day out just killed my head and body, so i switched to a morning roast and a mid day, to a bowl at night and it keeps me going good, i can function, i can work, quitting cold turkey for anything is never good you have to give your body time to adapt to becoming sober. hope that helps

Slow down

The most important thing I can say is that you need to taper off like people do with anti-depressants. Even if you taper off you'll have some symptoms of w\d. Here's what you should do;

To deal with your stomach: When you do eat, eat something good for you not junk food. Whole grains, veggies, anything that taste like shit. Take a vitamin and get some outdoor exercise to stimulate your appetite and improve your mood.

To deal with your boredom: Leave your house. Especially if you have weed at home. Hang out with some non-stoner friends. Try to have fun somewhere where weed smoking isn't an option.

To improve your mood: Do whatever task you've been putting off, especially things like housework that don't require focus. Also try and go out doors for at least a half hour like I said earlier. Sounds like a lot but its worth it.

Weed WD is mild, even if its not mild for you it only lasts 3-4 days. Suck it up and push on through.
That is pretty useless advice. Shouldn't we be trying to help people and bring them up instead of belittling there struggles? I know a lot of people who are devastated without weed. Someone doesn't have to have shakes and cold sweats in order to experience withdrawal. Weed withdrawal is certainly not pleasant especially when your not used to it.

Its psychological, and is easily overcome by proper mindset. Majority of daily smokers seem to fall into the belief they need weed, or they cant be happy without it. Which is not true. The best thing to do is just keep weed out of your life while youre quitting. Dont be around it, or people who talk about it, and it will be much easier.

Conflicting advice is conflicting.

Posts like this piss me off. He asked for an answer/opinion, he got one.

I'm going through withdrawal right now; I can only sleep 2 hours at a time, I wake up constantly at night.

However, consider yourself lucky. Last year I was smoking JWH-018 exclusively for months, 24/7. I went through much worse withdrawal when I quit; cold sweats, anxiety, pain, stress, nausea, loss of appetite for 3 days until I started smoking weed and CP 55940 to break the cannabinoid fast.

I went through a couple days of withdrawal from CP 55940 alone recently, and that resulted in just loss of appetite and nausea.

This time, I smoked enough weed and hash with CP 55940 to reduce tolerance (you get much worse tolerance to pure CB1 agonists than you do the mix of agonist and antagonist cannabinoids in cannabis buds) enough so that my withdrawal symptoms don't even include loss of appetite.

Anyways, withdrawal only lasts like a week or something.

No, it's not psychological. Cannabinoid withdrawal is physiological. Cannabinoid agonism downregulates cannabinoid receptors, as well as causing long term alterations to your insulin/ghrelin/incretin axis and your pancreas. It takes a while for the pancreas to start secreting digestive juices without being stoned when you quit. It also takes a while for your blood sugar and appetite controlling hormonal systems to reach homeostasis again. It also takes a while for your brain to return to normal, like after quitting opioids.
