quitting oxycodone/opiates specific question

Ok so i have been quitting or trying to quit opiates for the past few months, basically went from a year long 3-4 (give or take on some days) oxy addiction. For the past 3-4 months however I've only been doing about 1 every 3-4 days, so i was tapering, and this past week i decided i needed to finally get over withdrawals. I did it and I finally did get over the physical withdrawals the other day. What i mean is that I was clean for a week, and for the past 2 days I've felt great, and all of my physical symptoms have ceased. Today I did 1 oxy 30, like an idiot. But I am thinking that since my physical symptoms have ended this means that my opiate receptors have repaired/healed, that my body has begun producing a substantial/adequate amount of its natural painkillers, endorphins, and thus i am not physically addicted anymore. Basically, i am asking does anyone think, or know from experience, that I will begin withdrawals all over again despite the fact my body seems to have repaired itself? That would be quite depressing :(. Thanks for any input guys and girls.

It takes a couple of months for the receptors to shut down.. 4.75 for me and the pain Dr stated around seven and a half.. real miracle when it happens its like your mind starts running on six cylinders after plugging along on two.. it is also proposed that it takes about two years for the brain chemistry to return to normal.. here is a cool thread that is looking at chemical ways to increase this.http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/threads/673580-Hey-I-thought-the-grey-matter-of-ADD-could-chew-on-this. but as far as things you can do to progress this process as quick as possible as well as live the most enjoyable life as possible.. change your thinking, natural sleep (natural does not include medications in a little green/orange bottle with your and a doctors name on it.. not saying in any way shape or form that you discontinue any medication without discussing this thoroughly with you doctor) exercise, working your brain out with school, exercises such as puzzles, support group meetings, I know this goes against the no substances but I believe that increasing you dopamine may be key to reducing the puss of the addiction so caffeine, but it may prolong or prohibit the true homeostasis of the brain, but *takes a long slug of monster* I believe the benefits outway the negatives on this.. all that being said congratulations on your accomplishment so far!!! you will now need to learn how to deal with addiction and pAWS.. you can do it.<3

Also if you are male you should have your testosterone checked as long term opiat use can kill natural production..

you may have a little withdrawal.. remember to that it seems that every time someone chooses to go through acute withdrawal it get worse:(<3
