Background story: there is a breakdown in the "weed-market" at my city, my usual guys are quitted. "Upper class" guys are still selling, but unless if they were your highschool buddies, they wont even sit down to talk. I guess that's the way it goes everywehere, I mean I could be a snitch or an undercover cop. So we (me and my friends) were looking for weed for about a week, without any success. That's when I decided to take a look at sites that selling Spice, herbal materials sprayed with synthetic cannabis. It's completely legal here, you can buy it and your local postman will bring it to you the next day. I was so upset about the "no-weed" situation, so I decided to order a gram. (It's very cheap, about 1,5 euros for a gram+shipping). That was a month ago.

I'll be honest with you I liked it. I still do. It gave me an opiate-like, very intense body high, plus the creative thinking of weed. My mind was bathing in happiness. Except for the memory loss ("why did I go to the kitchen?" :D) there were no side effects. I used it for a month every single day.

But as a stoner since 2009, I felt like I crossed a line. I mean weed never gave me any problem (I used it daily aswell), and it's natural, you know what's in it, etc. I felt like I'm playing with fire doing an RC, so I decided to stop. It was 3 days ago.

I'm feeling completely okay, but I'm afraid it's because the synthetic canna is still in my system. So my questions are:

- Do physical addiction develops in a month?
- What's the worst that can happen to me? (panic attacks, hallucinations, anxiety?)
- Should I just stay home for a couple of days, just in case s*it hits the fan? I mean I heard that your anger can get out of hands during Spice wds, I don't wanna hurt anybody. (One of my childhood friends ripped me off with a lot of money, so I'm edgy anyways...)
- I read that no matter how hard Spice withdrawals are, they go away in 2 weeks is that true?
- It seems like finally I can get good old bud. Is it okay to smoke weed while detoxing from Spice? Or should I just wait a little more?

Any other advices are welcomed. :)

1. i don't think physical addiction would develop in a month.

2. maybe a small amount of rebound anxiety, it might be a bit difficult to fall asleep for a couple days if you don't smoke weed.

3. i don't think it matters, you aren't going to flip out after smoking synthetic weed for a month.

4. i think people who have a problem with WD symptoms from spice. they have gone way too hard, like binging on high doses every day for long periods of time, it doesn't sound like you have been doing that. i'm not sure you will have any WD symptoms, i guess it will be out of your symptom within a month though.

5. if you want to reduce your tolerance, it wouldn't hurt to have a break for a few weeks, but if you don't really care, i don't think it will cause any extra harm.

next time there is a dry period, just try having a tolerance break, then when you smoke again you will need less to get a better effect.

don't worry :)

I just heard all the "Spice-horror" stories, and it freaked me out. It's the fourth day, sometimes I feel kinda uncomfortable, but nothing serious.

Thanks a lot for your input! :)

What you can expect, depending on the formula is water-loss through heavy urination, and sweating. Which will equate to severe dehydration within a few days time. Keep water by your side. Lots of it. Monitor what colour your urine is.

Second is psychosis, or delirium. This will lead to short term, but long lasting hallucinations in which you cannot distinguish between reality, and falsity. Symptoms can also include a lack of fear of repercussions. Your inhibitions will be completely gone.

You SHOULD NOT cold turkey spice. Even if you've only been using it for a month. Withdrawal symptoms from HEAVY usage will not appear until 4 or 5 days after discontinuing use.

Good news is that delirium, and psychosis developed as a result from spice withdrawal is not permanent. Lasting up to a week at most.

I smoked spiced heavily for 3 weeks , it was called illuminate extreme . and all I can say is the withdrawal to this stuff is like benzo withdrawal or even worse and the cravings you get for it are like heroin cravings . So I do think you can get withdrawals from a months use . Spice is not to be fucked with it has killed people and it's not even close to weed . When I smoke that shit I feel like I'm not human , weirdest feeling out there but my advice is sweat a lot , go into a steam room and just Sit there for hours and have plenty of hot showers . Drink heaps of water to flush out your system . And if you ever do smoke this stuff have the tiniest bit of it and don't touch it again .

It can happen, and it all depends varying on abuse. Spice abuse can range from small or occasional use, to rapid addiction. Abuse can start anywhere from 1 week, to 4-5 weeks into use. Spice, in it's legal form now, is primarily in a grey market. Especially in the U.S where old spice formulas are banned, and detectable through blood, and urine analysis. If someone begins using spice, and does so heavily, the addiction, and subsequent withdrawal will happen much more quickly. Spice that is sold in many shoppes nowadays only lasts for 15 to 25 minutes roughly. This is the new brand of spice, that is chemically different than other variants. It's not banned, and will not show up in a urinalysis, or blood test. Using a substance like this every day, multiple times a day, especially by people who have a history of addiction can, and will lead to rapid dependence.

Psychosis is a withdrawal symptom of spice. New or old variants. Young or old users. Even people with, or without any prior history of psychosis, and/or without a history of schizophrenia. It does not take long to become addicted to a substance. And, dependence be if psychological, or physical has it's withdrawal symptoms as early as in one month of use, depending on the amount of the substance as abused. An occasional smoker stands a much less likely chance of experiencing withdrawal, or severe withdrawal symptons than does a heavy user.

Yepp, on the fifth day, it happened. My heart was racing, and the pain in my stomach and kidneys was unbearable. Plus some extreme anxiety, and paranoid thoughts just for fun. If it wasn't for Xanax I don't know what could have been happened...

That was today's morning, now I'm chill but I still feel kinda strange... I give you all the permission that if I ever had just a single thought of using that shit, come to my house, and punch me in the face as hard as you can. :D (I was warned here on BL, but I was Mr. Smartass again...). I hope other people can learn from my mistake. Dangers of Spice compared to weed, is like a water gun compared to an AK47.

Do you guys think it can come back? Because I have a long trip to go tomorrow and I don't wanna end up on the train's floor... Should I cancel my plans, or I'm done with the hard-part and it'll be better tomorrow?
