Never tried it, but am very tempted to. I've already posted in other threads that it almost seems more difficult to get a bupe instead of pain pills, because of all the requirements they want from us just from the first visit. (basically, seems like they want us to sign our souls away...print ups from all our pharmacies, etc..)

But i'm just trying to understand WHAT it is about Bupe's that keeps people on them. They say Bupes don't get you high...but they also say they don't make you feel like doing opiates anymore either. Then what gives ? Do they at-least make you feel good to a point, where your happy..similar to how opiates work? Trying to understand the mystery of bupes. Specifically Subutex, since it seems to be a more pure bupe. I appreciate it.

Yeah it has a pretty good anti-depressant property, and of course you feel physically normal. I've only had it once, a little over a week ago. Took a good 4 or 5 hours to make me feel normal. I could see being happy and not on other opiates on bupe. Plus is an antagonist at the opiate receptors so it blocks the effects of opiates unless you take a lot more than normal. Although maybe that was the naloxone, because I took suboxone, I'm not super clear on that. I have heard the withdrawals last longer than pretty much anything when you go to stop, but then again, if you're destroying your life on some opiate, maybe you'll be happy being on dupe for years instead of that.

Many people use it to get high and find it a very satisfying buzz. It's extremely prevelant as a drug of abuse on the the streets of Europe and in prisons in the UK.

My script just makes me feel normal for almost 24 hours, but that's kind of the point, I'm not looking to get high (or low rather, as it would be).

Not really a TDS thread, you would probably get a better response in OD.

It definitely gets me high. And people without a tolerance get high as shit.

I can't get off it because I get dopesick for like a month.

It gives me a positive mood shift and keeps me from abusing other drugs and drinking too much.

It sucks thinking I'll be on an opioid forever but it's a real possibility at this point. I've been on it for 1 year, quit my life fell to shit, got on it another year, quit my life went to shit. This is my third or forth time on bupe now and I don't know,I just can't break the pattern yet.
