i just got a kief box and a kief press,
is pressed hash as good as bubble hash?
can anyone give me tips on makeing it?
is it always like semi powdery? or is their a way i can make it somewhat sticky?

what kind of kief box? what is the size of the screen (ie what micron size are the holes)?

dry sift hash can be as good as bubble but you need similar technology. bubble hash requires seperating trichome glands by size. and most bubble bag sets have a variety of screen sizes for different qualities of hash. you can get dry sift kief sets that have different micron sizes ( i recomend the 4 sreen set from freshheadies.com) it comes in 160 120 100 and 70 if i remember corectly and for the most part if you ran the bud from the same plant through bubble bags and through the dry sift screens then technically the product in corresponding micron sizes should be damn similar

if you invest the money in the micron screen set then the dry sift from the 100 and 70 micron screens should be nice and sticky.

as far as tips on making it then that kinda depends.

light agitation equals a higher quality product while intense agitation results in more quantity of a lower quality product

by makin hash all you wanna do is seperate trichome glands from plant matter. some people shake their kief boxes, some put them on the dryer when it is running, some put it in the frezzer or freeze bud ahead of time, there are tons of things you can do to "speed up" the process but if you let nature and gravity do its thing you will get a higher quality product. <having said that though i will confess to always using vigorous agitation cuz most of the time i prefer alot of decent kief as oppossed to a lil great kief but thats just me and even then sometimes i go for the light agitation but more times then not ill shake my screens pretty good

if you have any more questions lemme know or if i didnt explain somethin very well lemme know as well

also i am usually and advocate of lookin at old threads n UTSE but the link posted above will only be sorta usefull as there have been some advancments in dry sift technology since 2003

What do you mean by "presor"? the screw press? because that is what you are supposed to use.

everything HighonLife said was on the money, i think you are confused about the pressing yes?

try heating the screw press in the oven at a low temp, maybe 200 degrees ferenheit, for a minute or two until its hot, but still ok to touch. this will help the keif press into hash.
