Opioids Questions about maybe liver damage?

I must have a "tough" liver. I ate 10-15, 10/325 oxy's or hydro's for about 3 years and I still binge once a month. A lot of times I would take 10 pills when I got up and then drink 18 Heini's that night. 10 percs would "cure" the hangover the next day. I take Lipitor and Celebrex daily so my liver is tested every 3 ms. and is normal. Yes I know it is stupid to take opiods on top of those without extracting but I was just too lazy and in a hurry.

CWE only takes about 20 mins, at least the way I would sometimes do it. Crush, mix with warm water, stir, put in freezer till cold, drink the liquid without taking in too much powder, mix in more warm water and repeat once. I know I lost some oxy and took in some acet. but it was a lot less.

Did you, by chance, take a multivitamin during the same time period as you were taking the atorvastatin (lipitor)?

Yes, every day. "Mega- Mens Ultra"

I ask because a couple small clinical studies found that atorvastatin combined with β-carotene and vitamin E boosted glutathione levels in vivo.

Glutathione is the peptide responsible for aiding in the conjugation of acetaminophen, and when it is used up the liver switches to a different enzymatic route which in turn produces a toxic metabolite (NAPQI) that causes acetaminophen-related hepatoxicity. So, boosting glutathione levels can have a hepa-protective effect, which might partially explain your enzyme levels.

The whole atorvastatin-glutathione thing isn't medical certainty so I don't encourage anyone to take it in hopes of protecting their liver (taking N-acetyl-l-cysteine, a glutathione precursor, is a much better idea there) I just saw your post and it made be wonder if it could have had some benefit in your case.
