BIG QUESTION - PLEASE SOMONE WHO CARES - LET ME KNOW ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wound up in the hospital and found out I had torticollis in my neck and left side of my face - it's also called dystensia. I asked for a neurologist and he came and diagnosed me, as I couldn't move my mouth, and my neck was stretching so far my mouth was over to the right and wouldn't move - I couldn't talk - it was horrible. Anyway, I got out of the hospital, and he said since I did not have insurance to get Botox injections, the best thing for me would be for him to prescribe Clonazapem 0.5 3x per day, and it worked wonderfully. He kept telling me to get a PPP to disburse it for me, and I finally did. I told the PPP that I had a neurosurgeon, and the neurosurgeon even wrote him a letter telling him that he had just refilled a six month supply of Clonazapem 0.5 for me. I told my ppp that I would bring in the RX if he wanted me to and he could keep it in his file, but he didn't even acknowledge me!! He just went ahead and wrote another RX for it, and told me to take it.
Now, after a year, he FINALLY realizes that my neurologist filled the prescription and he boots me out of his office by mail. So, I'm sure my neurologist got the same letter from him or talked to him. I'm so afraid to even approach another doctor because I don't want them to think that I am a doctor shopper - I'M NOT! I don't know whether to call my neurologist and try to get him to work with me all the same, or try a new PPP. What should I do? Anybody have any advice??? I'd really appreciate it. I don't want to get in any trouble, and I didn't do anything wrong. I told him, my neurologist told him, but he just never paid attention When I first went to see him he was not prescribing them to me, and I told him what I had, and he just laughed, as if it was funny - it's very serious if you don't keep it under control. I have to go back to school on Tuesday (two days from now) and have no medication to take for this, and I am really scared. Should I try another doctor and just not tell him about this incident or what should I do?
I'm sorry this is so long as my first post, but it's something I really need some advice on!!!
