the end of the world is nigh!
but what is an end? and what is a world? is it the end of all worlds, or the end of this world? is it the end or an end?
the world worlds and the nothing nothings.
ah, the meaning of the apocalyps. the grandest of philosophical secrets. the foundation of them all. the road to eternity. one that doesn't really want to fit in words or explanations very well. at last, not concise ones. and even if one did manage, it remains hidden behind opaque words. i mean, the entirety of Heideggers Being and Time has this at its very core. in fact, understand the meaning of the end of time, and you have the base from which flows the understanding of all contemporary continental philosophy, if not all philosophy. for in my end is my beginning. as much as it can express itself as huge worldwide event such as nuclear war; that is an expression of it. it is primarily a metaphor pertaining the world within. it connects with ego-death, the end of all meaning, the void and death (naturally). as within, so without. final judgement and liberation.
i'm afraid i can't do much justice to the topic. to do so requires an entire book in the order of magnitude of Totalité et Infini, Sein und Zeit, la Voix et le Phenomène, l'Être et le Néant, Phänomenologie des Geistes, ... but perhaps i'll post a few fleeting thoughts later on if they find their way to me and i find the time for them.
