I mainly need to get these thoughts down, and I figured what better place than here?
Being quite experienced with taking psilocybin mushrooms, I could never have expected psilocin to affect me the way it did, even though it was my first time with pure psilocin.
It was the night after a 2-CT-7 experience, that left me quite disappointed, (At the time, the perceived intensity I had been built up to believe just wasn't there. In hindsight however, it was a very powerful and rewarding experience.) I had gotten maybe 1 or 2 hours of sleep, and had just gotten back from an AWESOME Grateful Dead tribute band show. It was about 1:00 AM and my buddy and I had been planning since well before the show to take the psilocin when we got back. I opted to take 30mg orally, I'm not too sure about his dosage, but I do know he IM'ed it while I was already into my journey. Ok, so 30mg ingested orally, and literally within 10 minutes I was already at a strong ++. It was kind of worrying me, I was in a bad state of mind from having my face melted at the Dead tribute and having minimal sleep from the night before. I've ALWAYS enjoyed every psychadelic experience I've had, no "bad trips" if you will, but the power of this one coming on left me with a twinge of fear.
While on my couch contemplating this fear and trying to get over it, I felt a buzzing similar to the onset of a mushroom trip, and immediately I was calmed by the universe, flooded with a comfortable, welcoming feeling. My friend preceded to play a Fireman album (Rushes) I believe, and the music quickly drew me in. The music was incredibly vivid, I was breathing in rhythm with it, and all of my senses were in tune with this music. After enjoying that for a while, my buddy then decides to play some Bwiti (the people who worship Iboga) music, and this is where the journey takes off.
If you've heard Bwiti music before, you might understand when I say that these musicians channel the spirits, its really the spirits that bring their music to this realm. If you haven't, try listening to it, its very unique and interesting music. Anyways, as the Bwiti music was playing, I could feel myself being pulled into it, I was a PART of this music, as very much so as the people who were playing it. My breathing became very heavy and patterned, I was adding cadences to this music that went along perfectly (even my buddy agrees that he felt it), and words cannot describe the One-ness I felt at this moment. I was actually "breathing spirits". Spirits surrounded me, it was as if I was an orchestra leader in a sea of spirits, waving my arms about in tune with the music, watching, with my eyes closed, wisps of color floating and flying all around me. I could only assume that this was the relationship "Tribal Shamans" held with the spiritual world. If you've ever had a ++++, you can understand how hard it is to describe that exact feeling, to try bring words to such a sacred moment... there are none that can suffice. All I can say is I have full understanding of "channeling" now.
At one point in this wonderful experience, I had to get up and use the restroom, and I look at my buddy across from me, and all I can say is, "Plus four ALL THE WAY man." When I laid back down, I was able to re-enter this trance state by doing what I was doing earlier, concentrating on the music, enjoying it, and willing myself back into. At one point, my rhythm'ed breaths seemed to take on a feline aspect, kind of a growling/hissing. I was literally inside this wonderful Bwiti music, as much a part of it as the musicians who played it, dancing with the spirits who brought it to this realm. Eventually this died down, and I grabbed my guitar and began strumming just a few simple notes along with it, to which my buddy remarked he was impressed I could play along with them. I replied it felt completely natural, I was not capable of plucking a wrong note in my state of mind.
There are a lot of details left out, and I hope to fill them in eventually. Just trying to get thoughts down for now. But yes, this was quite a wonderful, mind-blowing experience, that I thought should be shared. The universe really is quite wonderful when you allow it to be so
