Pot smoke with infected tonsils

Is it bad to smoke weed while your tonsils are infected? and is it bad to smoke weed with the tonsils removed? My tonsils have been acting up recently and I smoked pot a couple days ago. I'm probably going to get them removed soon so I wanna know if there's going to be any problems if I smoke again with them removed.

(I should probably note that my tonsils acting up has been a reoccurring thing for the past 3 months. That's why I've decided to have them removed)
 
I continued smoking weed during a hectic gum infection. There were no complications from the weed.
However you will want to quit it for a few days before you get them removed or else the anesthetic will not work properly.
 
You want to quit smoking prior and after surgery to prevent things like healing complications and dry sockets... the anesthetic will work fine.

^^^That is correct! They may have to up the use of anaesthesia but not necessarily always.

^^^That is also correct that complications may occur but not necessarily.
Your lungs also must be clear and it may affect the healing.
They are all precautions!
 
vape your weed if you're really worried about it. I had a tonsilectemy about 3 years ago and just the thought of smoke hitting my throat for the 10 days after my surgery was enough to make me want to puke. The pain is pretty bad after you get them out.
 
Any smoke could interfere with the healing process. Pot would be a better alternative if your a smoker and it helps keep from smoking cigs.

Thanks alot guys. I will make sure to remember all of this. I plan on stopping for a bit anyway. Probably until New Year's, lol :)
