CA has more variety, tho, in just about every way.
it's a sunny place for shady people ;)

WA has a lot of greenery but u have to go far out to experience it. in most of the happening areas it's just shrubbery enveloped in concrete. :( it's hard to find climbable trees around here.

"emerald city" moniker was a marketing ploy to foster tourism.
the state as a whole may be evergreen, but the city sure the hell isn't. half of the state (Eastern WA) is a desert anyway.

so we have a farrago of scenery-what difference does it make when accessing it all is a nightmare. reaching the ocean takes forever. swimming in the lakes, rivers, and the Sound is reportedly unhealthy. WA is very isolating. last i heard, our depression rate has steadily remained the highest in the nation for the last decade.
no pride in that. pride goeth before the fall. :(

give me CA anyday. I soo need to get LA'd.
Venice beach...*drool*

missouri definitely won't 'win on cali'...but the SE portion is actually very beautiful. unfortunately all my pics are on my desktop, so i'll have to post some later...

missouri=misery? sound alike, certainly. are alike? so i've heard. say it ain't so...
