i dont know about you all but i love having crazy ass dreams. i like waking up and bugging out like "whoa what the fuck just happened." problem is, its rare that i ever have a really strong dream. to me, dreams mean alot. they tell me alot about myself. is there any way to intensify this sleeping experience? there must be some substance out there that you can ingest before you lay to rest

apart from cheese ;) i find the opposite is true - especially if you smoke weed.

whenever i endure one of those unfortunate periods without da herb, my dreams are INCREDIBLY vivid and completely fucked up; in a good way, usually :)

I LOVE mad dreams and sometimes eat cheese to induce them - dont be fooled it doesnt work - bread and jam does though - and just get your head or your life really screwed up so that your head has a jolly time sorting through it when you are asleep!!

5HTP's been the catalyst for some fucked up dreams of mine. They're incredibly cool, but if they get scary, it can be pretty bad.

^---True

Set and Setting seem to make a big difference on what kind of dreams I have. Leaving the TV on always causes the weirdest dreams for me.

Keeping a diary of your dreams and practicing lucid dream techniques is also effective.

practicing lucid dream techniques? what techniques are these? I love weirdo dreams - it makes me so happy to have a mad dream to think of during the day - I always wake up shining after those!

I'd rather have a weird dream undrugged because I know it is my head talking not the drugs talking, I can control my head I cannot control the drugs.

There are certain things that happen in a dream that don't happen when you are awake. By making it a habit to check for these things when you are awake will tend to make you check for those things when you are dreaming too, which can trigger lucidity. For example, when you read something in a dream look away and read it again it'll usually say something different. There are plenty of sites on this subject.

I find that I tend to have weirder, more vivid dreams, when I get a full night's sleep (8+ hours) after a few days or more of not-fully-sufficient sleep (5-6 hours). Maybe the brain just isn't used to reaching that deepest stage of the REM cycle and so it produces especially powerful images.
Of course, as vivid as the dreams are, I never remember them in detail when I wake up.

not every time. :)
I've also had the clock and light-switch tests fail on me before.
This has usually been after 1 or more false-wakings though. :)

Well im taking Wellbrutrin right now and ive had some wacky dreams lately......But its hard to sleep on this shit to begin w/...

How is it any worse than taking it when you are awake? LSD does induce REM sleep in doses that are considered threshold when awake.

Mugwort, its a dreaming herb, just put a sprig under your pillow before bed... Other than that I recommend giving up weed and/or wearing a nicotine patch to bed.

i found a small dose of LSA , say 20-30 MG seeds gave me some vivid dreams.

the awesomest dreams ive ever had were when i was extremely sleep deprived. after tweaking for 2-3 days solid, to the point where u start to hallucinate and start dreaming while your awake. when i finally do go to sleep my dreams are intense and somewhat contollable.

like once i was having an astral dream where i was flying around where i grew up. it was so realistic i can still remember trying to swoop like a bird, but you fall unnervingly fast so its alot harder than you would think!

my theory is that when your so extremly tired you start to use your unconscious brain more, because the conscious one is so fucked. then you go to sleep and rest your conscious brain, but since you are somewhat accustomed to using your unconscious one at that point, you can sorta control your dreams a bit.

note im too lazy to attempt to stay up for 3 days without a healthy serving of meth, the drug itself may have some role in this .
