The upside of ridiculous bullshit by our world leaders is the abundance of memes.

If they were just plain old up front and didnt bother with the medias portrayal of their actions where could we get our memes?

Some of the best political satire is in music.

Be it at woodstock, fighting the Vietnam War;

Or singing about the guy who killed Harvey Milk and James Moscone (and did very little jail time, pleading insane and blaming
"twinkies", apparently.

Please do not post memes with alt-right themes. They will be UA'd.

That seems kinda uncool. I don't like them either, but censoring a political view, any political view on the sole and exclusive basis of the opinion, that's kinda going too far.

I mean you won't get any argument from me that bluelight and it's mods have the right to censor whatever they like for whatever reason, but I'm not aware of it being against the BLUA and the ability to do something doesn't make it right.

At the very least, it could be better worded. Like banning something more specific than just anything deemed altright.

Seriously? Lol

Someone gets infracted for posting racist content... you know, you’re absolutely right, that has no place on BL. He knows this. He doesn’t seem to give a shit considering it took less than 24 hours for him to break the rules yet again.

Quickly: the content that was censored WAS in blatant violation of the user agreement. He knows it, but seem to like playing the victim card.

Jah has developed a long standing issue posting content he knows it totally inappropriate. He knows what he’s doing.

I’d say more that Jah’s refusal to post content that doesn’t revolve around racism is getting really, really old. But he forces our hand with stuff like that.

It was the bigoted content of the meme that was the problem. If he would express his political views without violating forum policy or the BLUA, we have no issues.

This isn’t about freedom of speech. BL isn’t a democracy as you point out. We are a harm reduction organization. Racism has no place on this website. Not in TL, not here.

This isn’t a platform for alt-right propaganda. It isn’t a platform for racism, homophobia, sexism or xenophobia either. If someone can’t use the site without getting into that shit, they have no business using the site.

Hey JessFR,

UAing a post is just making it invisible.

Banning is different. And much more serious.

BLUA applies in this thread and, just as an example, anti-Semitic memes aren't okay.

So a UA is minor. A ban is not. I tend to be consultative with mine. (I personally don't feel comfortable discussing other people's issues. Like if I was banned, I wouldn't want it to be broadcast. Other mods differ with me on this point.)

And I can assure you that the multiple offenses were incontrovertibly ban-worthy.
