Mmm, I'm not sure I'd quite say that. Not that I wanna defend trump here. But some people just talk in a casual way that doesn't seem immediately like they're well read and highly intelligent, even if they are. Now I don't think that trump in fact is. I think he's probably fairly average. Maybe a little above average but far less intelligent that he likes to believe. All I'm saying is that it's not a very reliable way to gage intelligence.

Bush on the other hand probably wasn't very smart at all. Which is why I've long round myself unable to hate him. At least with someone like Obama I can hold him accountable because he's not stupid. With someone like Bush, I have trouble getting too angry cause I feel like it's beating on the stupid for something they can't help.
 
I heard a radio interview with W Bush a few years back, he was talking about his paintings and his nonprofit for helping veterans. He was really charming and well-spoken, it was weird but honestly it changed my opinion of him as a person a little bit.

But yeah he was in way over his head and if you're complicit in stuff it's kinda your responsibility too.

I was thinking that was the kind of expression you'd have when you realised you'd learnt Mandarin, married a Chinese woman, become a honcho at a top Chinese university and even asked the Chinese president to name your daughter all in a failed effort to get Facebook into China. You have to wonder what motivates a person like Suckerburg when he'd go to such extremes just to expand his business 8o

greed, same as all the rest of the capitalist scum. china is a HUGE market with its billion+ potential customers, and now is the time to get in, while they're in transition from a manufacturing-based economy to a more service-based economy.
