^ pretty much only Botswana avoided that fate in sub-Saharan Africa while being converted to Christianity. Unsurprisingly it's also now the richest most democratic country there. Historical effects can be very long-lasting.

Yeah I think some totalitarian dictators who murder their citizens are worse... Hitler was pretty fucked up and got real crazy by the end too. Trump is a sociopath on a really bad ego trip, he's a raging narcissist who desperately wants everyone to talk about him. We're basically watching a person with a serious personality disorder unravel slowly in front of the world. And in the process he's doing some fucked up stuff, but he's also digging his own grave.

certainly far from the first unhinged psychopath world leader. but his perversions and hyper-creepiness is up there with some of the apocryphal hitler myths (scat fetish etc).
or like - the myth about richard gere with the gerbil or whatever.
but with trump that shit's actually true.

Usually I get a laugh out of most of these memes but those last three, droppers, aren't even eliciting so much as a smirk from me. Boooorrring. :\

I know this is just a meme thread but I'd like to also point out that Trump supporters, nor really any political organisation, are 'proletariat'. The proletariat have no party and have no representative in this country. They are abandoned, shunned, and tread upon by the general population, and even by other proletariat.

Meh. Humor is in the eye of the beholder.

I've found lots of things on this thread unfunny simply because I believe they are based on misunderstanding of fact.

But no doubt others found them hilarious. It's all a matter of how much you agree. And for the record, I do actually agree with you regarding trump support. I just also think you gotta accept that you're not gonna find all the posts funny if the thread contains memes from all the major political groups. Sure, some of us can laugh at ourselves and that's great, but even then you're gonna find some unfunny simply because you feel the whole premise is entirely false.

Fact is if you base your political views off anything you see in this thread, you're a moron. So I say just go with the flow. :) some you'll like and some you want.

I'll admit i nearly posted similar frustrations earlier in this thread maybe a week ago. But by the time I got to the end of writing the post I realized I wasn't being fair. So I didn't post it.

There's lots of stuff in this thread that goes entirely against positions I've made in the past. Some I still found funny, generally because I still saw some truth to them. Others I feel are outright wrong and don't find funny at all. I get the temptation to want to say something. But seems to me this thread only works if all the opinions can participate. And in that case, nobody is gonna find all of them funny. Let alone agree.

I like this thread. I hope it continues and doesn't end up becoming a debate about the issues it raises, we have other threads for that.
