Yeah I thought that one was garbage too. I mean disagree with their opinions if you want, but to call them elitist smart-ass megalomaniacal attention whores because they're trying to do something about what they perceive is a really important issue? Might as well just say "you're a stupid doo-doo head and you smell".
 
It's also way too wordy. I wouldn't have found it funny even if I'd agreed. Too many words. Too angry, too direct. Just not very well put together.
 
Ugh, man. No, I don't think that "exploiting the memories of those dead children" (who were their friends and peers, by the way, people they actually knew. In fact they and their families are the only people qualified to decide whether they're exploiting their friends or not) is worse than attacking them and calling them names for doing what they're doing. Not even close. You can disagree with their sentiments and think they're misguided all you want, but they're doing what they believe is right, they're responding to terrible trauma. Whereas people like you who bash them and send hate towards them for it are just scared, hateful adults who have their heads so far up their asses they can't even see how cruel they're being. To children. Fucking gross, man.

Why in god's name do you think it matters whether he actually saw the kids die or not? Why does that make it okay to call him "Hoggwash" and basically talk about him like he's human trash? That makes no sense to me whatsoever and is just mean. Either way he had to hide in a fucking closet while someone shot up his school, scared for his life, and find out 17 of his friends/classmates got murdered suddenly. Poor fucking kid, man. Why isn't that your emotional response? How the fuck has some tribal political culture rearranged your brain so much that instead of feeling empathy for this kid, you feel hate and vitriol and made it so that you literally are bullying him? Or actually you're participating in a group-bullying. It boggles the mind... seriously does. I don't think you're a bad person but you and the people like you are acting like bad people about this. For real.

Duh he was filming, where have you been for the past 5 years or so? Everyone phone videos stuff, trying to get a record of it, trying to communicate, trying to share their experience, etc. How do you think we have phone videos of all sorts of stuff like police brutality? The fact he videoed it does not in any way validate your feelings, it's normal. You are seriously suggesting that in the chaos and terror of this happening, this kid was like, haha, I know what to do! I'll make a video of this to push a political agenda! For real? Again, I'm not trying to invalidate your belief that their cause is misguided, you have the right to that.

Your entire argument for why you feel this way is baseless and deeply disturbing. Y'all have lost your goddamn minds. If the way you have been led to behave here doesn't show you that something is seriously wrong with this group think you're a part of, I don't know what will.

This thread is great and shows that no matter how srs the subject matter of a subforum can be or whatever is going on in the world, laughter is the best medicine.
