Anyone heard anymore about the suggestin they knew each other before the killing and that it was personal?

The only thing I know of is that Mr. Floyd had a prior arrest in 2019 where he seems to have had a panic attack and reacted in the same way he did last year. The arrest was successful ( without violence ) . Chauvin probably knew about it but it hasn't been determined whether or not he was present. There is video of his 2019 arrest but the judge is not letting that evidence in so I am going to assume Chauvin was not present for that one. But like you said, maybe Mr. Smirky Smirk was thinking that Mr. Floyd wasn't going to get away with it this time and subdued him so forcefully that he eventually killed him as payback for the 2019 resisting. Hard to say.

if i was given the choice to be the judge jury and executioner like chauvin took it upon himself, i might torture the guy a bit, and let someone else kill him, but i wouldnt have it in my personally, and id probably even stop the person who would kill him from doing it, i can have compassion for even the worst humans

I don't know about the US, but Australian cops are mostly good.

When I was a kid, we took a trip to LA. When my father drove out of the airport, he accidentally went the wrong way down a one-way street. It had been a long flight. The cop that pulled us over drew his weapon and pointed it at the car then yelled for my dad to get out and put his hands up. There were three kids in the car. When he saw the international license, he suggested it was fake. For an Australian family, this was an utterly bizarre experience.
The cops have become militarized, their uniforms with the combat boots look more like soldiers than municipal police officers, if you get pulled over by a cop here in the US, keep both hands on the steering wheel don’t even attempt to reach for the glove compartment ti get your credentials, you might get your head blown off in the process.

Bullshit, Charles Manson didn’t kill anyone and he got the death sentence, lucky for him at that same time they overturned the death penalty so he got life, him and his family. Those other cops allowed for the murder to happen, they’re just as guilty.
I agree on both the Manson point and the other 3 officers guilt. The other 3 officers have been charged with various things and will have their day in Court. Chauvin went first. The other 3 are getting less serious charges as none of them were on his neck and shoulders and at some point ( when they realized Floyd was in major distress) they did try some intervention. But all 3 are certainly culpable in that the only intervention that would have worked was to physically drag him off of Floyd. They didn't have the guts to do it , for probably various reasons, but one of them should have at least attempted it when Floyd lost consciousness. And certainly when Floyd no longer had a pulse. Yeah all 3 will answer for that later this year. Probably see some serious plea bargaining. Especially after the outcome of Chauvins trial.

i think more mechanically on cops doing what they were supposed to do and arrest someone, shit went down, they brought him to the hospital, he died there. I'm not going to place judgement on what this guy Chauvin did or didn't do. Axe to fall. I mean if Chauvin is guilty then Floyd is guilty of being a failure as a human being and not even trying to get some help, he was basically a drug dealer playing The Game, and he lost it and paid for his life. He wasn't even a good soldier. Maybe Chauvin will get some prison time. Play a man's game, pay a man's price.

Just more "he was a criminal, so he deserved it" nonsense. I guess due process is only necessary when you don't feel sympathy for someone. Pretty much all of us here are criminals, too.

If he had been threatening the officers with a gun, then I could see the rationale behind how this happened. But he wasn't. There is no excuse for the brutality of how this cop treated an already restrained person.

If we allow cops to brutalize and kill suspects except in honest defense of their own lives or the lives of others, we have crossed an extremely dangerous line. I don't understand what is so hard to see about that.

I'll say it again, I would bet good money that if this had happened to someone you cared about, you'd be singing a different tune.

A bunch of people are so triggered because this is being framed as a racial issue. But putting that aspect aside for a second, do you really want cops to be able to decide who lives and dies, and kill people (whether on purpose or not) without proper consequences?

They're guilty of different things.

The other 3 police officers are hardly Charles Manson.

I agree the other cops are certainly not just as responsible, but they should be held to account, too. Hopefully what comes of it is cops in the future being more motivated to take action against their fellow cops when they're abusing their power.

They held the Blue code when Chauvin killed the guy, but now that their freedom is on the line, they threw the Blue code right out the window, low life pieces of shit.

They are just as responsible they watched while Chauvin killed Floyd, they were there watching making sure no one interfered while Chauvin practically choked the guy to death who was under the influence.

This is a drug forum we all use whether recreationally or Medicinally. How would you like it if you were pulled over and one of your buddies in the car you happen to be driving got pulled over and the officer used excessive and your buddy is high on whatever drug and the cops pull you over and pulled your buddy out of the car and he’s had a bit much of the drugs he was using that night and is not feeling well and the cops pull him out of the car and start using excessive for without having too, and starts pleading with the cop please officer I’m not feeling good, and the cop through s him to the ground and start foot stomping Him and finally puts his knee on your friends neck and because your friend has drugs in his system that could cause his heart to stop or his breathing is very slow laborious and right there he kills your friend by putting for e in his neck causing him to stop breathing and your friend dies.

Then how would you feel, I’m sure you’d change your mind, he could’ve called for medical assistance after cuffing him and he still would have been alive.

I'm not sure why you suddenly think I'm okay with any of it. In fact I have been telling people in this thread essentially exactly what you just said in several posts I made. All I'm saying is Chauvin is the most responsible. I agree they are all responsible.

It’s a tough one, given they were very junior cops under the thumb of a cop of senior level.
There is one point where the Asian officer (apologies for the term I forgot their names) tells the grub on Floyd’s neck he cannot find a pulse, he sounds panic stricken himself and clearly not confident enough to speak up.
Not that I’m saying that makes it ok, but I do see the other cops as less culpable because of this.

Does anyone know why Doctor Who did the autopsy on George Floyd?
Doctor Who didn't do the autopsy. You are either reading the sentence incorrectly or being facetious. Don't remember the Dr.s name but his testimony was riveting. He explained Floyd's cause of death very well in terms that laymen can understand. Laid out exactly how he died.

Doctor Who is a fictional time-travelling immortal alien.

Nobody knows exactly how he died.

The doctor who did the autopsy said how he thinks he died and he clearly said that the drugs in Floyd's system and his heart conditions were contributing factors.

I know who Dr. Who is. I simply thought you really thought the Forensic Pathologists last name was Who. The man doesn't " think" anything. He is a certified Pathologist who knows exactly the cause of death. There are other contributing factors of course. But if left alone, Mr. Floyd would not have died. In the United States Court system the Autopsy Report is basically the smoking gun. There were not lethal doses of drugs in his system so he was simply high. And his heart arteries were not closed sufficiently to cause death. I guess one has to have a little faith that the experts know what we ourselves do not.
