The murder of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police is just the latest in the history of horrifying killings of African Americans at the hand of over-zealous, racist police. Tamir Rice, Michael Brown, Laquon McDonnell, the list is seemingly endless. How are those 4 police *NOT* in custody facing the murder charges they deserve? WTF is it going to take to bring this man-made plague to its end?

I have had cops choke me out like that. It is quite frightening not being able to breathe.

It is not a racial thing though. It is a cops think they can do whatever they want thing. When are people going to admit that the black culture has less hangups about breaking the law and therefore have more involvement with law enforcement?
 
MSNBC are right there with the people. What great journalism.

I'm starting to worry about the welfare of a close friend from Mahtomedi who is in the midst of the bedlam. According to MSNBC, there's the risk of explosions as a result of compromised gas lines. He's not responding ATM, he was all evening until the last few minutes...
 
Jesus christ... watching that video of the cop just mercilessly choking the guy out, while the other cop just stands there and watches. :| Okay yeah they're fired, great. That's like Catholic priests getting quietly removed for child molestation and facing no criminal charges. I don't care if you're a cop, if you cold-blooded murder someone, you need to face justice. I get that sometimes cops are put in life or death situations and have to kill someone or be killed. But this is so clearly not that. Sickening.

I has a strong visceral response watching that video. It triggered some old stuff, and I was ruined for the rest of the day and part of the next. Wow, was I angry.
 
Segregation/Separation. Ordering the chaos. That’s what will make it end.

I also think UBI and ending the war on drugs might help, if we can’t do the above.

Intelligent fascism (find what we need to unite around, fascism focuses on unity; common bond). A military society. Purpose-based/purpose-driven life. Build better trust.

That was really hard to watch. I almost couldn't believe what I was seeing. There was a guy there who was trained at martial arts yelling at this cop describing how exactly he was killing him. There was even a woman who said she was a fire-fighter and asked if the guy was responsive. Cop just kept his knee down. There was almost a point at which the cops could feel that something was wrong but his ego didn't want to relent so he doubled down.

Exactly, people shouldn't bring this racist, divisive BS into this. This is an issue of psychopathic cops and a broken system oppressing ALL citizens.

Hopefully justice will be served but chances are it won't because they're cops. And if the eventual sentencing happens much later on then the collective emotion will have subsided a lot.
In a perfect world though that cop receives capital punishment. They need to set an example for the others.

More white people are killed by cops in the US than black people.

If you view this as black vs white thing then you're making the situation worse. Plain and simple.
Anyone with a conscience is shocked and appalled by that video - including evil white people.
