Police Brutality Thread

I have to admit I use Amazon a lot. It's just... too... convenient. But I make my own food, god dammit, and I'm far from lazy, in fact I almost never have free time, I stay up too late most nights just so I can keep Bluelighting.

But yeah, way too many Americans are absolute sloths. The modern kind that move so slow moss grows on them, not the prehistoric giant ones that were savage uber-chads
Ya I use Amazon, but it’s rare. Agree on the convenience, but man is it an evil company. I’ll give bezos credit for living up to his end, on like most of them, he’s got like a trans gf.
Aren’t those sloths rumored to possibly still be alive.

Wasn't a shot at you brotha or anyone for using Amazon. I just see a big change in pace after Covid. People kinda got hooked on room service.

No worries, I didn't take it as a shot at me. :) I totally agree, even though I also started using amazon for more of my consumerist needs during covid, I still think it's a bad thing for everyone to redistributing so much business away from small businesses and into the largest corporation in the world.

The way they treat their employees is shitty. I can't think of a single time I've ever heard a testimony from anyone about working for them who didn't say it sucked.

What, giant sloths? If that's a rumor, it's news to me. 🤔

Whoa, that guy presented his case very well. I'll be damned. Interesting video, thanks
Forrest galante has rediscovered a bunch of species, his show about this is awesome. The coolest ones he’s trying to get funding to look into are a Mexican brown bear subspecies rumored to live in some remote mountains. And a pretty decent correspondence about a villager in Papua New Guinea keeping a Tasmanian tiger as a pet. It would be the one logical place they could still exist, but is very difficult and expensive to explore due the rugged terrain and hostel peoples.

An uncomfortable fact is that most people who get beat up by the cops deserve it.

^^^

what a giant pussy

(i mean the cop)

blows like that can fuck yer brain up; if he goes all chris benoit on us, hopefully he doesn't kill any good cops or anything

Bullshit. The cops beating someone up... or harming them in any other way... is NEVER justified. They're not supposed to be out there playing judge and jury and sometimes executioner. They're there to investigate and bring the SUSPECT in to court for the full due process of law. Any cop who takes upon themselves to mete out punishment is nothing more than a thug and belongs in prison just as much... more even, for breaking the trust with the public by abusing the power granted to them... as any other criminal.

Lethal force used unjustly against the public by public servants is not only insane, but immoral, unethical, unconscionable, and entirely uncivilized. It’s mind boggling that this is even a topic of debate. And then there is that Thin Blue Line. Retaliation against those who dare to speak out against or report corruption, unethical conduct, violations, dangerous people in the workplace etc. Retaliation against DA’s who dare to prosecute someone “on the job.” Fucking malignant wretchedness.

So you don't understand the shit that police have to deal with. I don't mean bashing someone for no reason. I mean sometimes people resist are and are so aggressive that they need to get beat up just to be restrained.

unneccesary conclusion jumping

they need to be able to bring violent suspects in, for sure... but "beat them up" implies egregious force. you also implied (in your previous reply here:

)

that this includes anybody that has ever been beaten by police, but we can see that there are times where cops beat people simply because the cop is a cowardly p.o.s.

we need to, as a part of police reform, make sure ALL cops have training to effectively restrain/ subdue a suspect with the least harm possible, to the officer, to the suspect, and to the general public. caving someone's head, sitting on their chest/ neck, choke holds... these carry too much risk. risk of brain damage, dying, etc... and not everyone being arrested is guilty... so let's think... how would you like being an innocent person, or maybe you are having a mental episode and then you die or get fucked in the head worse because some pussy cop smashed your head or choked the piss out of you?

maybe we need to make aikido, jiu jitsu, judo, etc. a mandatory part of cop training.

and maybe we don't need to have the armed, roided up police respond to everything, like in some cities they have units dedicated to mental health calls. i'm sure some of us can name a time where some teenager was having a bad (maybe suicidal) episode, was no threat to anyone but themself, and died because a handful of overzealous cops felt the need to help them with said suicide.

I'm a Navy brat, and it's been a tradition in my family to serve for several generations. I spent much of my childhood around people in the uniformed services... the REAL uniformed services (Mostly sailors and marines, but also the occasional coastie.) that actually go off to war to fight outfits like the Viet Cong, the Iraqi republican guard, al-Qaeda, and the Taliban... oh, and the Soviet Union if the Cold War had turned hot... any and all of which make the worst, most hard-ass, east Oakland "gangsta" that the cops ever have to face nothing more than a punk-ass little bitch in comparison. And until a bout with cancer as a teen that disqualified me, I was working towards trying for the academy, with ROTC as my backup plan, and enlisting and going to nuke school my backup to my backup plan; and fully intended to make the military my career.
,
So, yes... as much as a civilian who planned to be in uniform but was disqualified can... through my own research, preparations, and the words and guidance of my family and neighbors who signed on that dotted line to fight far worse and more dangerous people than any cop ever has, I do understand that the uniformed services can be very dangerous and that "higher than average chance of being killed" is what you commit yourself to when you take the oath.

And yes... any cop that goes Judge Dredd, in any manner, on a suspect instead of bringing them in, alive and unharmed, to stand trial is still trash, is unworthy to wear the uniform, or to serve the public in any capacity.

Derek Chauvin Stabbed in Prison

Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer who was convicted of George Floyd's murder, was seriously injured on Friday after another inmate stabbed him inside a federal prison in Arizona.

The attack took place around 12:30 p.m. local time at the Federal Correction Institution, Tucson, according to The Associated Press, which was the first to report the incident. Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison also confirmed to The Star Tribune that Chauvin, 47, was stabbed but remains in stable condition.

"I am sad to hear that Derek Chauvin was the target of violence," Ellison said. "He was duly convicted of his crimes and, like any incarcerated individual, he should be able to serve his sentence without fear of retaliation or violence."

Both the Bureau of Prisons and an FBI spokesperson based in Arizona confirmed to NPR that an inmate was assaulted at the federal prison on Friday, but neither agency would confirm it was Chauvin.

The Bureau of Prisons added that "life-saving measures" were performed on the inmate. The inmate was later taken to a hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

FCI Tucson, which oversees about 380 inmates, suspended visitations until further notice.

It is not clear what prompted the altercation. Chauvin's attorney did not immediately respond to NPR's requests for comment.

In 2021, Chauvin was sentenced to 22 ½ years in state prison for Floyd's murder. He also received a 21-year-federal sentence for violating Floyd's civil rights. Chauvin was ordered to serve those sentences concurrently.

Funny because when I heard the other day that his appeal was denied and then they said he was in medium custody, I thought to myself "it's only a matter of time before something happens to him" - I would've thought he'd be in PC pretty much his whole time and he's already in medium?

He knelt on a mans neck and killed him, why should he be protected?

because he was already sentenced to 40+ (essentially life) years in prison for that crime. That is his punishment as decided by our judicial system. Stabbings by thugs in prison isn't justice.

Here's how it goes to anybody in prison who PC's up.
You will get got one way or another.
Most likely if you're a snitch, but also, by an unorganized or chance run in with general population you could get crunched because the policy in there is to take off on one as soon as you see them or get beat up by your fellow race if it was found out you had an opportunity to but didn't. So sometimes the sheriff's or CO's will put PC people with general pop because they want to see what will happen or have been ordered to so things can continue on their natural order.
The PC gang "25", are made up of certain individuals either tasked with leading the gang and have no reason to PC up or people who have been in PC and just got to be part of the gang, maybe depending on the severity o f why they are PC'ing in the first place.
They are the ones that get you when you turn state's evidence and still have time to do. Likey the same ones who got people who are either huge preds or politicians where there will be a monetary interest over his death.
I think cops and pedos are at the same level when in PC and the only people destined to get stabbed and die in prison's PC is the snitches.
That being said, I would totally stab the cop before I stabbed the pedo, to be completely honest. The cops are involved with so much perpetuating of slavery and suffering, they would rather die than not wear the blue suit anyway so it's almost a good thing to help them along. I just have so much hate for cops and lawyers and the justice system due to being charged with a crime I didn't do and been shown the power they are capable of extending on and over you even if it's not legal. They still get away with it cause they wear a badge. If you believe in karma than you should have no problem with cops being stabbed or even tortured to death in prison.
