Location
where the trees are sappy
My friend apparently threw some seeds in dixie cups with soil a while back and one sprouted, we have a pretty decent location to transfer it to but I want to know if it's ok to do it yet. I've heard that cannabis is a pretty damn tough plant, and it can be grown pretty much anywhere. Winter is just ending up here, but it's cold and rainy, snowed a couple times.

We aren't expecting anything significant, just seems like fun to try it out and see what happens.

So if we transfer the plant into soil, will it survive?

the temperature has to stay above 50 F. It may survive a little colder but not for very long.

You have to wait until spring where a frost is unlikely to occur. If it is still snowing that it is a bad time to transfer it out in the wild. Just baby it in a secure area until it is hardy and the weather is warmer.

thats a good idea. and, maybe, by then, you'll be able to determine the sex of your seedling. It would be a shame to put forth all the effort and then find out that your little sprout is a male.

I've thought about trying to grow a plant from a bag seed, how would I be able to tell if it's a male and would it even sprout??

Winner, it may sprout or it may not. Only time will tell.

As to whether or not it will be male or female, that's later on in the grow season. First step is to get that baby in some nice soil, don't water it too often and give it a nice 100 watt compact flourescent bulb mon.

CFs will often cause a little bit of pre-flowering which is useful for sexing your plants.

The best way to germenate seeds is between pieces of damp paper towel in a ziplock bag.

Please don't move your plants outdoors until the daily highs are above 70 degrees (F).
