My girlfriend and I use the reusable cloth shopping bags. I never used to think of it myself, but my girl was raised by parents in a community that was pretty intense about environmental protections. I'm glad I do. Whenever I forget I bring the plastic grocery bags home and use them to wrap food up for the fridge, or to scoop cat litter into. So at least they get a second use. It's so dumb you can't recycle them, I used to always stick them in the recycling until I found out they don't recycle them and in fact they might have just thrown my recycling out because they were in there.

Are you guys throwing the bag out with the kitty litter?
Nope I wash and reuse them.
(I don't, that would be horrible)
Oh nice. I don't think we have Publix around here. I've never been to one.
