Is almost everybody here including the animals part computer or machine? Are they connected to the internet? I know an NPC is a non playable character.

if it is all just one machine, i believe there are different spirits or energies that influence consciousness/who people are and who people are also effects who other people are through influence... i don't think there is any set way if it is a computer that is one thing. you can get all different varying answers that contradict each other through the computer.
