ive been battling my demon for about 9 years already
lately i have been doing much better as far as racing thoughts i can actually calm myself down although i do have bad days and even get a bit of depression but the physical side of anxiety has hit me really hard
ill be doing random shit or then all of a sudden ill get random pains, ill start breathing all crazy..i always feel like i have to take a deep breath or ill feel like im suffocating, random numbness through out my body mainly when im asleep, i wouldnt say headaches but i get pains in my head sometimes its usually one on side of my head

been checked out for numerous things but all test come back normal and plenty of docs say its purely anxiety
the only thing in my arsenal are a crap ton of benzos
which is crazy because every doc ive visited (i always wanted different opinions) they were so quick to say its just temp here are some benzos even after saying its been going on for years

anyone feel like this ?

HI, you have to be more specific, age, health, meds history etc... I really can't comment cos of little information stated. You're deep breathing thing, I can relate though. At times you feel suffocated right, and when you yawn you can't fully yawn right? Like you cannot accomplish/successfully yawn like you're supposed to? Uhh hard to explain but you get it though yeah.

Yeahhh, I have generalized anxiety and that sounds just like what happens to me sometimes.

You're right to hesitate on the benzos. I'd recommend propranolol (Inderal) or another beta-blocker (non-habit-forming, nonpsychoactive and nonrecreational heart med). I take 20mg propranolol in the a.m. and 2 more as needed throughout the day. It lowers my heart rate and blood pressure and alleviates the muscle tension and random aches of physical anxiety, without affecting my cognition or activities. Bet blockers are old-school but they work like a charm for some.
