considering trying mescaline for the first time and having done a lot of (online) research on peyote, I'm kinda surprised to have found nothing about the detrimental effects of this shroom. Almost all other psychodelics come with some form of a physical price (according to the sites) but not a word about similar effects from peyote. (aside from the obvious possibility of psychological strain and OD at eating 40 caps at once) Is this just an unusually benign way to trip? Anyone with input...help!
Peace,
Avi

ok im kinda confused here.. you said detremental effects of this shroom? and then od'ing on 40caps? uhm peyote isn't a fungus at all, its a cactus. you have to get the cactus, cut it up, do all this shit then drink the slime. and as to your original question, i'd highly doubt there'd be any bad side-effects. its all natural and been used for 1000's of years. i'd consider it as toxic as some good mushies.

hehe, sorry, I'm used to generalizing peyote as a shroom for sheer fact that it's hallucenogenic flora. I suppose that is a bit retarded, my apologies

I know it's been used to facilitate vision quests for Native Americans for millenia...just find it heard to believe that there aren't any hidden dangers involved..

No hidden dangers, but if you do try it i'd recomend rectal infusion. Drinking it is about as pleasant as sticking your face into a tramps underpants for 3 hours.

The only death I have heard about as a result of Peyote is a native america who threw up so hard he got inch long cuts in his throat which resulted in him bleeding to death. The report also said he was an alcoholic which may have been why his throat was so weak.
