But it would create protection for pedophiles from discrimination, so it appears to literally protect pedophiles
 
I'm entirely against any legislation pushing to remove any protections whatsoever against pedophiles... the fuck is that shit? Stuff like that is why people are so against liberals. Though I will also say, most liberals are also very against pedophiles and my guess is that 9 out of 10 liberals you showed this to would also be outraged.

That said, that whole post (the one Electrum posted) looks almost like a charicature. I checked the original article that it's quoting, and I have to say it's a bit misleading (the Twitter post)... it's an attempt to insert wording about gender identity into an existing law, because I guess someone thought that calling pedophilia a "sexual orientation" was harmful to the cause of talking about sexual orientation 24/7 - no one in the article is claiming that pedophiles are better protected as a result of this legislation). There is nothing in there to reduce penalties or erode the definition of a pedophile (according to the article that the Twitter post is referring to - I only know what the article says, but since the Twitter post is referencing the article as proof of outrage, I felt it necessary to point out that it was not being represented very accurately).

My response to the post/article is that it's yet more rage clickbait. And I maintain that if virtually anyone, on either side of the aisle, were confronted with proof that a law was making it easier for pedophiles to go free or otherwise prey on children, they would be vehemently against it. I sure as fuck would. If my assessment of this particular post i wrong, then I'm against it, too, I am merely trying to point out what I believe to be some nothingburger clickbait.

But it says that it's removing it as NOT being a sexual orientation, which would now make it a sexual orientation under civil rights? The crossed out part of the bill

while my knee- jerk reaction is to 100% agree (and i do think child molesters/ rapists ought to have life sentences, since they take away the victim's life in many ways psychologically), i have also seen where the death penalty incentivizes murder ("might as well get rid if the evidence since i'm already looking at the maximum penalty") as well as familial coverups ("you can't turn grandpappy in, they'll kill'im!").

i also hesitate to want to formally punish people who simply fantasize about it (as gross as it is, and i think it should be treated by psychiatry/ psychology) but do not act or even want to act on such fantasies... i'm just very much against punishing thought crimes. i mean, we don't punish people for rape fantasies, and afaik such fantasies shouldn't really lead to actual rape irl (again, afaik... i'm not well- versed on the matter). and as we've seen in this forum, incest fantasies are a thing and yet the idea of ACTUALLY doing it apparently turns the person off and it's just the fantasy that has gotten 'em off. we don't punish people for incest fantasies.

but yeah, with that said, chester molester should be taken out of society, away from children... locked up for as long as possible. no excuses for such awful, life- ruinous crimes. even homicide can be justifiable (self defense) but child abuse, sexual or not, is inexcusable.

i'm not super fascinated with your opinion on the matter, however i WOULD like to see some good evidence for a gawd or the afterlife. believe itnor not, i am an unconvinced skeptic that you are never wrong.
 
The ex-wife of Joel Hoppe, the magistrate judge in the sham Charlottesville civil trial as well as several other trials involving the protest, has been arrested on charges of child sex abuse and distributing CSAM. The article details are hard to stomach, but in it is mentioned that Eleanor Hoppe was in possession of and distributing images of adult men raping young girls. She was traveling to participate in the rape of an 8 year old girl when she was arrested.

An investigation needs to be opened into Joel Hoppe immediately to see to what extent he participated in this abuse and if the images in his ex-wifes possession are of him raping his daughters.

A Charlottesville mother who worked in and supported child advocacy organizations has been arrested and indicted on federal allegations that she traveled to Northern Virginia to sexually abuse a child.

You wonder if this isn’t the culture of all of the folx in ‘the resistance’. If Adam schiff doesn’t rape little boys I’d be shocked, and I’m not being sarcastic or joking.
