[Retrospective note: This report was written while partially under the influence. PCE most definitely has an ego-inflating aspect. Please keep this in mind while reading my somewhat self-loving report.]
It is truly unfortunate that there is so little information available on Arylcyclohexamines, as somewhere between Ketamine and PCP, some of the (historically already-made) analogues are actually worthwhile writing back home about. One really wonders what was it that made the forgotten researchers at Parke-Davis choose this particular compound or that particular compound. It is my understanding that PCE was synthesized by these people as one of several possible alternatives to PCP as an anaesthetic but hastily abandoned once Ketamine was discovered.
But, without further ado, I shall present you with a brief report of my first impressions of this compound. Brief, that is, because of both setting and dosage. You see, here I am again sitting at my security desk and taking dissociatives!
It's not as bad as it sounds. Knowing full-well that I am wading through terra incognita, but trusting in my mental tenacity at being rather well-disciplined under the influence of dissociatives, I measured out 5mg (of the HCL salt) on my scale (+/- 1mg), put on my uniform, and off to work!
If I should qualify the preceding statement regarding discipline under the influence of dissociatives... allow me to share a little story: Sihanoukeville, Cambodia, Summer 2008. I had just acquired a vial of Ketamine and proceeded to follow the rabbit down the (needle) hole. For some reason or another, I needed to go get something, so I jumped out of my anaesthesia and decided to cross the street. This, after what I think was a shot of 100mg (a huge dose even by my standards today, after all the tolerance). As everyone on Ketamine knows, you stop at the green, and you cross the street at the red.
So here am I in my beketted little world trying to figure out whether to cross or not. Luckily, in Sihanoukeville traffic lights were only installed last year, and drivers where still about as confused about how to use them as, say, a person on Ketamine. The moral of the story? I was still able to cross the road, unscathed. So I do have a tiny bit of faith in my dissociated self!
Ehem, so back to PCE. Chemically speaking, this compound is actually closer in shape to Ketamine than PCP is. Ketamine is N-Methylated; PCE is N-Ethylated, whereas PCP has a whole Piperidine ring there.
At around 3:20pm, I made a small line out of the 5mg I had in the little envelope I made myself. I insufflated just a bit more than half of it (estimated 3mg) and decided to save the other half till later, keeping the "start low" rule in mind. For you see, there is so little info on this compound that the best I could find about dose is that "PCE is slightly more potent than PCP". I decided that since PCP is active in the single-digit range, then "slightly more" should not be any greater than 5mg.
Within 15 minutes, I found myself very pleasantly surprised.
For the first time ever, here is a new dissociative that actually produces the same "signature" as Ketamine: a certain astringent, "etheric" smell/taste that permeates the olfactory senses. In other words, it makes you basically smell like Electricity. PCP also has this, but it is much, much less pronounced. 3-MeO-PCP and its friends all but completely lost this property. DXM does not have it at all, while N2O is almost entirely composed of it. This "smell" comes with a certain vibration that, if ridden properly for long enough, can bring about states of divine ecstasy.
Aside from this smell/vibration, I've been trying to put into words what it is that, to me, makes these three drugs (K, N2O, and now PCE) so special and sets them apart from other dissociatives. I think I may be able to express it thus: think of your childhood memories, now imagine as though you perceive your life right now as though you were a child. This quality of "eternal childhood" is unique really only to Ketamine in my experience, though N2O sometimes brings it about, and it seems that PCE does as well...
In 30mins, I felt a wonderfully-sparkling, warm, upbeat state of mind that was almost indistinguishable from a 10mg dose of S-Ketamine. At this point I decided to snort the rest of what I had, and at 1h after my initial dose I was in a state that was very much like 20mg of S-Ketamine, but perhaps with more energy. Keep in mind that for me, S-Ketamine is wonderful, but actually less desirable than the racemate. For some reason I find it a bit excessively loopy and a bit too psychedelic-like, and not anaesthetic enough to balance out - which may be nice but not always useful.
That said, this is truly a marvelous discovery. I am now at T+4.5 hours and while I have started coming down a while ago I am still enjoying this lovely, warm afterglow. The experience is definitely a bit confusing, but not confusing enough as to be incapacitating or irritating by any stretch. It is in fact a very positive state of mind given the state my life is in at the moment.

Ahh, you know you're having a good time on dissociatives when you enjoy tinny, wobbly spanish music
So all in all I am happy that there actually exist drugs that bear some resemblance to the majesty of Ketamine. I look forward to trying more of this, and will definitely have a more flowery report in a better setting. This drug strikes me as being fantastic for the outdoors.
As for other compounds that were produced by Parke-Davis in the great leap from PCP to Ketamine, one that I am very interested in sampling would be Rolicyclidine (PCPy).
Retrospective edit: Now that I am more or less completely sober, re-reading this makes me realize that Eticilidine is definitely much more egoistic than Ketamine. On par with PCP I'd say. Talk about tooting my horn!
Other drugs in system include Caffeine and Hydergine (3.5mg T+10h).
Side effects: fewer than with PCP - Slight headache, extreme sinus reaction (must never snort again!!)
