Appologies for not using search, this site is NOT blackberry friendly At ALL.

I have come across 2 rx meds, paxil and trazodone. Do either of these have any recreational value?

Guys - this was an honest truthful question. I don't think the OP needed to be treated with the just like every other poster on this boarb non to much negativity.

GBM: Stop being a pric If you are doing this though, take Paxil in the AM as I am sure you intended to do so.

Glad to know this forum is filled with a bunch of filthy fucking idiots. I read somewhere that paxil is very habit forming so I wanted to make sure MY new perscription won't be getting me high at school, since my school has a strict anti drug policy. I think everyone except the last person who posted needs to get a fucking life and not always assume that questions are all made by 12 year olds in their moms purses, fuckin idiots.

You can't be upset from other replies to your thread because you were not clear in your original post.

In your orginal post you stated that you "came across" some rx meds and where asking about "recreational" properties of these substances. A good portion of threads that originate in the manner as yours has tend to be someone who came across those substances in a manner that could be shady. It also seems that you were rushing to get a reply by looking for an answer rather promptly by going through the trouble of posting via a mobile device instead of just getting your script and searching on the net before speeding money on getting them filled.

You cant be mad at others and their replies because the nature of your thread conditioned people to assume you aquired these meds in a fashion other than a doc visit.

I would try and be more clear and concise in the future for a more appropriate response.

Well by come across I mean perscribed. If I found it I would've said I found it. When I looked up info on paxil it said it was horrendously habit forming and causes terrible withdrawls, never stated whether or not it was recreational value. It also stated that doctors aren't supposed to perscribe this medication to underage patients, which he did.

Im sry you were unhappy with the first few responses you got but I dont believe they were trying to be "filthy fucking idiots"....i dont think they meant any harm...allthough I will admit there answers did not seem to help you much.....that I will agree..

but please do not respond to other posters in such a radical manner. That kind of language was uncalled for(and we do not allow it here on BL) and even if it was called for you should simply report there posts and get on with it.

Anyway...back to the issue....

Like StartedHydro stated....the way you asked the question made it somewhat confusing, and therfore, hard to answer correctly. But a quick answer would be to say that NO the drugs you listed will not get you high and have little to no recreational value.

Also, if you are worried about your school anti-drug policy then do not take medications that are not prescribed to you as that is considered abusing drugs. But if they were prescribed to you then you have nothign to worry about because you are legally taking a medication given to you by a liscenced physician, and that cannot be interpreted as drug abuse.

You are also correct in saying that paxil has habit forming properies. It has been known to be difficult to withdraw from but it is nothing as serious as opiate withdrawal or something similar to that. It is merely an SSRI(basically an anti-depressant) that can be difficult to get off of once you have taken it regularly. If you have done some research on the medication im sure you would have read all about these symptoms.

Im not sure if you were asking any other questions, as, like I said, your post was a little unclear.....but please feel free to re-post and let me(us) know of any other concerns you may have. But try to do it without abusing Bluelights policies or regulations please. That would be much appreciated, we are all here to help each other.

Thanks again

There have been reports of people who have been on paxil and abruptly stopped taking their dose felt what is commonly called "discontinuation syndrome". One symptom that is mentioned a lot is referred to as the "zaps" sharp sudden electrical type sensations that occur frequently throughout the day which lesson in severity as time goes by. I think it would be wise to do a slow titrate off paxil if someone has been using it for awhile.

Other users on here might be able to give you a first hand account but by all means read up on paxil and learn as much as you can. See if the side effect profile in relation to your therapeutic benefits outweigh the reward.

I think it's safe to assume that with almost anything in life if taken on a regular basis there is bound to be a rebound effect.
