SALISBURY, Md. (AP/WBOC) - A Maryland judge has found a Pennsylvania woman guilty of criminally negligent manslaughter by vehicle in an August 2012 crash that killed her 11-year-old daughter.

Thirty-nine-year-old Tabitha Dobrzynski of New Kensington, Pa., on Monday was found guilty by Wicomico County Circuit Court Judge Kathleen Beckstead of criminally negligent manslaughter by vehicle and driving while impaired by drugs.

State Police Trooper Mark Miller said Dobrzynski told him she had taken several prescription drugs on the day of the crash and she did not do well on sobriety tests.

Police said Dobrzynski was traveling on the Route 13 Bypass in Salisbury on Sunday, Aug. 5 when she lost control of her Jeep and it overturned. According to investigators, her 11-year-old daughter Sophia was not wearing a seat belt and died after she was thrown from the vehicle. Dobrzynski's three other children- who were also riding in the Jeep- sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

According to court records, an investigation revealed that Dobrzynski was on four prescription medications at the time of the crash. She admitted that she had taken two Vicodine (narcotic pain reliever), one oxycodone (narcotic pain reliever), one Prozac (anti-depressant), and two Soma (muscle relaxant). Dobrzlynksi was reportedly confused about where she was driving and how she got there, court records show.

Sentencing has been deferred for a later date.

IMO i bet the soma was one of the main culprits plus just horrible judgement.

Ive been to Salisbury before they have a pretty good lacrosse team. Right around that area where you start to transition into a more Southern type of atmosphere and start seeing Rally's instead of Checker's (had a talk about this with someone yesterday, the Mason/Dixon line is actually pretty damn accurate to this day)

I just remember sitting in the stands at one of their games and there being like an exorbitant amount of black people in the bleachers considering there was like one or two black kids on both teams combined. This was also the last place I had a meal from Hardee's, and it was pretty disgusting actually.

Yea i knew A bunch of ppl that went to SU, dated a girl from there (friends with benefitss really, she was as kinky as me i loved it) one thing i noticed was there were a ton of hispanics there, like 9 living in a small single family home. Had lots of good times down there. Good to see this judge made the right call about the death of that 11 year old girl.

That amount of drugs could easily make someone an unsafe driver.
But someone who had just had a big accident in which their daughter died could also easily have trouble explaining where she was driving.
So, that seems like a bit of a stretch to me, to call that evidence sufficient in and of itself.
The fact that she admitted taking so many drugs before driving is worse for her case.

Holy shit that's a lot of drugs to be driving on. I imagine you would be in and out of conciousness with that many downers in your system.
I know the times I've mixed soma and opiates I was done for and would be noddin hard very powerful combination.
Any one care to explain what the prozac might do? I'm not exactly knowledgable on my anti depressents.

If she even knew what was going on yeah very poor choice on her part.
Unfortunate for both the driver and her child. To bad she wasn't wearing her seatbelt it could have and most likely would have saved her life.

I don't think it is. Vicodin are weak as shit, a bit stronger than codeine yeah? Was it a 5mg oxy or an 80mg oxy? If it was over 5mg, it probably would have been slow release (at least in Oz). There is an enormous amount of people on anti-depressants, and they don't usually affect driving. I haven't had soma, but I have had many muscle relaxants, I don't think that's a "lot of drugs to be driving onL at all. Maybe America is different.

It doesnt sound like a lot ... but for you to be driving with your most precious cargo with you...your kids??? I mean I feel for her, she will live with that the rest of her life but you couldnt put a gun to my head and make me drive with my kids in the car with me effed up! Just the one thing I will not do. Of course, it has been many years since I was brave/stupid enough to drive effed up and endanger anyones children who happen to be on the road...it is just wrong.

Driving under the influence of drugs is a bad idea in general sorry you guys are all bad asses but this is what can come from it.

Also whether it was a 5 or 80 or the fact that vicoden is a weaker opiate makes no difference she was obviously to fucked up to be driving if she rolled her car and killed her child. Again does time release matter she was under the influence and it resulted in a death because of it.

And that it makes a difference whether your kids are there with you or not just means you'll be possibly killing your self or others.
Soma is a known to potentiate opiates.

And I ment to ask if the prozac would have any contradtictions with the opiates and carisoprodol in her system?
I know people drive on antidepressants.

Cops are always murdering the wrong people... That guy is just gonna grow up to beat his live-in girlfriend and teach his kids to be just like him.

He doesnt have kids thankfully. Im sure he graduated to selling dope. You wouldnt think .09 would do that so it could be one of those nights where he popped some percs. IDK he threw away a basket scholarship to a good college and everything. Hes a nice kid but obviously his priorities are elsewhere. I think its funny how all his hood rat friends are on FB like "Free my nigga OB". really? your "nigga" just almost killed someone and at least ruined his career and only got 3 years that he will maybe serve 2 of. Thats his second DUI and thats only in maryland. He lives in delaware which is only 40 mins away from the location of the accident so god knows what else he has.

Doesn't have kids yet. Only a matter of time before he knocks up some unsuspecting woman.

Some guy I went to HS with did the same thing. Drunk driving out near Frederick and killed a lady. I'm not sure what happened to him but I remember people coming to his defense when it happened--like oh he has kids blah blah blah. Like, so? Popping out a kid when you're 19 and then another one in a year or 2 makes you a fucking hero? No, it makes you irresponsible and a loser (no offense to any teenagers with kids lol).
