Oxycodone - cause bad muscle pain?

So for the last week or so, I've woken up with some really bad neck and shoulder pain. Both sides. The kind where it hurts to turn your head, leads to migraines etc

Both my shoulders, in my scaps and traps, are VERY Tight, extremely painful.

I have been on a little bit of a binge, moreso than ever. Part of it is the muscle pain and headaches.

Going to stop taking them for a little. Have plenty of gabapentin, kpins, and Xanax, as well as Kratom.

But this muscle pain has me freaked out. Am I sleeping wrong? Could i just have tightness?

Or can the oxycodone be causing this? I'm worried it could be serious, just not sure what

Thanks guys. Not sure where else to go with this

I would say it's some other issue at work, because the oxy (I'm prescribed roxys myself for chronic pain) should be helping the pain. I would continue the oxy (especially if prescribed) and tell my doctor about your muscle pain and headaches. Since you've been on a bender of more than usual proportions, you may be experiencing some withdrawl symptoms. Are you having a lot of heightened anxiety with the increased pain? That's a sign of WDs, and massive amounts of benzos don't help my opioid WDs whatsoever, probably because they affect different areas of the brain. As far as kratom, that stuff is a health food store joke if you have a real opioid tolerance. You would do better taking oxy and Xanax, and using the money you'd spend on kratom on some booze ime.

I wouldn’t be so quick to start telling people that kratom is a joke. It might not be as effective to someone taking 200mg a day, but it is effective.

It helped me WD from a 3 year straight habit. Unfortunately it didn’t stick and I was back on the pills a month later.

But from personal experience, it works. The chemistry isn’t a lie, it acts on the opioid receptors.

Some people experience hyperalgesia (more severe than normal pain) when the opioids where off.

Then again it could just be the way you're sleeping.

^ I was thinking this too, and some people get opiate-rebound headaches. OP, your pain could be related to taking more oxy than usual. How long were you binging for? I'll tell you what happens with me- I will take oxycodone and not realize that I'm overexerting myself whether it's cleaning, playing with the dog or whatever. The next morning, I wake up with my neck, shoulder and arm muscles all sore.

All the things you listed would help you if you're going through withdrawals. Gabapentin would be my first line of defense. I would use the klonopin and Xanax only when you need to sleep because they can be habit-forming as well. If your headaches and pain persists, be sure to address this with your doctor.

chronic opioid doses make it really hard to feel your body. Think about what you do on a daily basis - ill be you can identify something in your ergonomics on the daily that is causing the tightness. For me, it's computers and video games, combined w opioids for pain management will fuck me up, especially if im not paying attention to how im sitting.
