IMing pills is never without risk. DVT being a particular issue. Also, oxycodone's activity partly (50%) relies on first-pass metabolism by the liver, If they are IR, drink with a cup of tea. If it's SR (OxyContin or generic) then just crunch them up and once again, cup of tea,
In short, other than a faster onset, parenteral administration has no advantage as far as potency is concerned. I've asked a few other people who have messed with oxycodone and everyone agreed, Not a large study so maybe it's just us that are unusual.
Of course, if they are SRs, just swallowing them still seems to produce the same 'high' but it builds from about 30 minutes to the 2 hour mark when it peaks and it helps keeping withdrawal at bay for 12 hours or so,
But be warned, oxycodone seems to produce dependence faster than just about any opioid you care to name.
BTW oxycodone is listed in the BNF as being 1.5x morphine in potency so if your gear is 50% pure, those oxys are going to be quite potent.
