Stimulants Over 24 hours now since my last meth dose

tramadol is relatively safe to take, considering it lowers ur seizure threshold. u should be fine...........

It lowers your seizure threshold DOES NOT mean that you are LESS LIKELY to have a seizure. In fact, it means the exact opposite. You shouldn't give advice about things which you do not thoroughly understand.

"Hey guys, it's ok.... IT IS INFLAMMABLE RIGHT??!?!" BOOOOOOOOOOM

Tramadol is relatively safe to take, the reported incidence of seizures is less than one percent across the board across patients it has been prescribed to. Still, it's dangerous to take too much, and the withdrawals are supposed to be disgusting..and can cause seizures.

Still think it's a crap drug, hardly worth the effort. But yeah check interactions before creating interesting and novel drug combinations :p

But I bet when you change that distinction to recreational use this number skyrockets. My friends dad who abused tramadol is now pretty permanently disabled from a car crash while having a seizure from tramadol. I just posted what I did because he seemed to be implying that taking it made having a seizure less likely.

No, you're right, taking more is a really bad idea. People have had seizures from one 50mg pill that apparently had never had a seizure before. It's not so great for recreation, in high doses, and horrible to get addicted to. Course it takes a lot longer to get addicted to than traditional opioids.

I'm sorry to hear about your friends dad, that's horrible :( Exactly why people shouldn't take that risk.

Right, lowering seizure threshold means you're more likely to have a seizure, not less lol.

Right tramadol is about as strong as codeine so taking any dose under 150 mg isn't going to have much rec value as it starts at doses above 200mg. For me taking 3 50mg pills gets me pretty buzzed. It really depends on an enzyme that metabolizes tramadol into its stronger M1 metabolite. People who lack this enzyme won't get much of a buzz from taking tramadol.

SS is absolutely terrifying and horrible. I was seizing and lost complete contact with reality. For me all it took was my daily Celexa, a few Norco, and ONE hit of weed. I never expected anything like that to happen. Be careful.

I have experienced SS a few times with last night being the most severe I ever had. It is pretty scary and can be life threatening but that's pretty uncommon.

Folley's right on the money: serotonin syndrome is HORRIBLE. My cat had a horrid experience and believes that he almost died--more than once--using antidepressants and other substances in combination with meth. Imagine being paralyzed and unable to breathe, shaking like in the dt's. That's the way my cat described it. That's on handfulls of benzos as well.

The symptoms of serotonin syndrome are a freaking MEDICAL EMERGENCY.

Not a "oh man, that serotonin syndrome last night totally sucked" kinda thing. This is not a hangover, it is you staring DEATH IN THE FACE.

Just to be clear.

Death is also not uncommon if you are experiencing these symptoms:

Cognitive effects: headache, agitation, hypomania, mental confusion, hallucinations, coma
Autonomic effects: shivering, sweating, hyperthermia, hypertension, tachycardia, nausea, diarrhea.
Somatic effects: myoclonus (muscle twitching), hyperreflexia (manifested by clonus), tremor.

Also worth pointing out however that those symptoms do overlap with a lot of other things.

For example, after a long time awake on Adrafinil and Caffeine without eating enough I was recently experiencing several of those symptoms simply due to hypoglycemia, which were mitigated by an emergency dose of Wendy's.

None the less though, SS is serious shit if you actually get it.

Yeah, that's why if you start experiencing a few of those symptoms and you're taking something that increases serotonin, you need to get to a hospital so a doctor can do a differential diagnosis. A few of the symptoms aren't unique, but if someone is shaking and they have a high fever (and took something that increases serotonin) that came on suddenly it is definitely a medical emergency.

My has been over but im holding of on the tramadol because it feels good to be close to normal again

Every addict, I have ever talked to has ALWAYS told me that; once they got off the drugs, they realized that they liked being sober much more than being high. Just something to think about....

people must of misinterperatated what I was trying to say, even tho lowers ur seizure threshold (makes u more seizure prone) it is okay to take as directed or by itself, or if mixed with other meds under a doctors supervision , its not a common side effect to have a seizure, but its possible, I in NO WAY meant its okay to take it all crazy cuz it has lowers seizure threshold(and yes, I know that means ur more prone to seizures, for the abuse poster who misread my post and thought I meant it was the opposite), my intentions are not here to harm anyone, as it got mixed up and look like that.

Lol, ok, it just read like it was safe BECAUSE it lowered your seizure threshold.

Its been over 24 hours since I did any and im still coming down I feel like im getting really close to the end but it has stalled out and I only did under a 1/4 gram is this normal im not craving any I just want sleep I also haven't taken any tramadol im 8 or 10 hours so withdrawal much have set in

Hey man, how did those 10 beers work out for you?

Though won't a huge abuse of dopamine drugs cause a similar syndrome with dopamine? Like huge mood swings, psychosis etc?

High doses and long periods of staying up on stimulants will cause a certain kind of stimulant psychosis. Now, schizophrenia is treated with dopamine antagonists (one of the opposite actions of cocaine/meth), and that works for some people. Stimulant psychosis and paranoid schizophrenia look a lot a like, but stimulant psychosis is usually transient, and schizophrenia is almost always a chronic condition.
