You know, if you weren’t my friend, I mean if I read that without knowing who wrote it, I imagine I would see it as both extremism and madness.

It would be a much much much better solution to just Nuke the whole planet in one.

For everybody’s sake, not more so for all the pets out there who can’t understand what the news is saying and why the bowls are empty.

I mean there has to be a point to life right? Or otherwise let’s just eurhenase the fuck out of every miserable conscious thing.

To me that’s the simple sane way of looking at it.

It signifies that i used the most recent study which is probably more accurate - with time being the variable and with more time, more accuracy

You're choosing the one that suits your argument. There's no way in fuck you'd make the opposite conclusion if the numbers happened to be the other way around.

Nope. There are many factors that determine accuracy. The study you quoted used an "unspecified" number of participants. Also (and most significantly) they are not analysing the general effectiveness of these vaccines but rather the long-term effectiveness.

The fact that it is so recent and comes out of Israel means that many people have been vaccinated for a long time. That was the point of igor's post.

Perhaps the vaccine is 80+% effective in the first three months and the efficacy drops down to 40% after a certain point so a booster is required.

Nobody is disagreeing with that, the question is: is it safer to be vaccinated or not?

The data strongly indicates the odds of dying from the shots or with the shots is significantly less than without the shots... assuming you don't want to lockdown forever.

If there was no life, wouldn't you have to ask the opposite question? (What is the point of there being no life?) Perhaps there is no point to anything. I don't see why that matters. Humans need to stop looking at things in terms of functionality. We've been using tools too long.

Life is better than no life. It's as simple as that, for me. I'd rather humans exist than not exist. Existence is so beautiful, it doesn't need to justify itself. The mystery is part of the beauty anyway.

I don't live like a king. Many people have gone bankrupt because of this virus. I am currently (yet again) losing somewhere in the vicinity of 1k-2k per month because of the current (totally nonsensical) restrictions. Forgive me for having my panties in a bunch.

bohoo my oma and opa grew up under the nazi rule of the netherlands there was no food or even blankets my grandfather was killed in a concentration camp and they never complained. Modern people are unbearable imagine if world war 3 happens and the complaints about civil liberties then lmao.

You're in Aus iirc. What do you think is going on there? am thinking he meant to say 'unvaccinated' or he just made an error... surely can't be true but as we know anything's possible (like the event being staged perhaps)

It could be a cleverly edited video. I don't know. What I do know is it's absolute fucking nonsense. The guy speaking (I don't recognize him, sorry) probably just made a mistake. There's got to be thousands of hours of people talking about COVID. Maybe the hoards of social media vampires managed to find a couple of seconds of footage they could exploit. It wouldn't surprise me if he said it. It wouldn't surprise me if he didn't say it. Either way, it doesn't matter. To any thinking person, it is obviously nonsense.

If these were the facts, everybody would be talking about it. It would be on every major news outlet. There's no way to bury something like this. If it were true, you'd also have to account for the fact that the rest of Australia's data - and all of the data for every other country in the world - paints the opposite picture.

13% of the country is vaccinated.

So if there's 140 - or whatever - people in the hospital (and the vaccine doesn't provide immunity) you would expect roughly 18 vaccinated people to be among those numbers. There wasn't 18. There was 1 person.
