In a bit of a pickle! I’d normally have a Valium or Xanax for after a bender to help me get a good sleep the night before work goes back…… I’m out of luck today and I really need to get a good 15 hours in (3pm shut eye)…..

It sucks how we’re not like America and have ease of some prescriptions :(

I’ve got some out of date prescription clonidine (400mg & 3 years old so unlikely to be effective) and some melatonin.

Aside from a shit tonne of orange juice, what else can I safely have?

I understand the irony of talking about safely having medication after over 24 hours on meth….. But work comes first and we honestly only do it every couple of months 😬😬😬

I don't think that clonidine actually degrades significantly over anything less than decades, as long as it was stored in cool dried dark place.

And by the way, if you drink a shit ton of orange juice, it's going to alkalize your urine and your kidneys will retain methamphetamine instead of excreting methamphetamine.

I'm not joking in the least. Even though orange juice is an acid, citric acid is an organic acid, organic acids alkalize the urine.

Inorganic acids like phosphoric acid in coca-Cola and Dr. Pepper. On the other hand, acidifies urine.

doxycycline is a behind the counter antihistamine. They'll just ask you how often you take it. I say it's for shiftwork. Minimal hangover (unlike Phenergan)

Personally I’d combine a beer or two with an OTC antihistamine like Benadryl or Unisom. Wait until you feel completely spent and exhausted, then take in combination. Beer will have the added benefit of hydration
Beer for hydration? You are obviously joking.

Valerian root- Kava Kava- passiflora- go to an ER and simulate a panic or telling a sad story about your chronic insomnia- seducing or convincing or bribing a pharmacist ?

Australian GPs seem happy to prescribe quetiapine. This can make you a bit groggy the next day, unlike doxylamine (in my opinion).

quetiapine
It depends on the person I guess, I never had any problem ( actually, they were a life saver after some pretty intense coke binges) , my wife stopped using them because she was basically turning into a zombie ....

Quetiapine is a good sleep aid but all you need is 10-20mg. Any more than that is overkill for sleep... unless you're on stimulants.

In the US the lowest amount they prescribe is 100mg pills, because it is only approved as an antipsychotic or mood stabilizer.

I don't know why doctors prescribe it for sleep so much, it's completely off label, it's kinda ridiculous prescribing normal people antipsychotics just for sleep.

I do like it for sleep, it's just not optimal, and I get the same effect from 50mg diphenhydramine.

That’s a good question. It’s been found that drinks vary in their ability to hydrate [1], and different alcoholic drinks have varying hydrating effects, too. So, what effect does beer have?

Alcohol by volume (ABV) is used to compare the alcohol content of different drinks. Most beers have a fairly low ABV, somewhere between 2% and 6% (with some beers such as stouts reaching 10%, similar to most wines). The amount of alcohol in beer is thought to determine its diuretic effect, and therefore how much it can dehydrate you.

When comparing beer (5% ABV), wine (13.5% ABV), spirits (35% ABV) and their non-alcoholic counterparts, one study found that the stronger alcoholic drinks have a short-term diuretic, and therefore potentially dehydrating, effect [2]. Interestingly, they found that urine output after drinking a typical beer was no different than after a non-alcoholic beer or water.

Several other studies have drawn the same conclusion: beer might actually hydrate us adequately [1][3][4]! The studies do warn that stronger beers are likely to be more dehydrating, and that drinks containing essential electrolytes are still better for hydration [4]. Nevertheless, the evidence points to beer not being all that bad from a hydration perspective.

Some people are working on making beers that are better for hydration. They have discovered that adding important electrolytes, like sodium, is a good way of improving a beer’s effect on fluid balance [5]. Other scientists have tested the effect of having a beer, in addition to proper hydration with water, after exercise. They found a beer had no negative effects on rehydration [6]. There’s no more deserving time for a cold beer than after a race, so it’s great news that it doesn’t seem to negatively impact our hydration levels!

It’s a site hawking electrolyte supplements or something but it links to a few studies on this topic

You can definitely rehydrate using some a can or two of beer-flavored water like pbr

Get some Rikodiene, it has 19mg of dihydrocodeine and sorbitol per every 5ml. It’s x2 stronger then codeine so will help with the pain and anxiety too, it’s OTC ask just the pharmacy script area for it and take 20-30 ml every 3-4 hours. Comes in 200 ml bottle and 100 ml bottle

Doxylamine, really the only thing I can think of that actually works. Seroquel is even better if you can get it.

Yeah there's some side effects but that stuff is like magic for aborting a stimulant high. Even better than benzos I would say. Though I think it caused me to gain weight when I was taking it. Also if I take it and don't fall asleep ( this is more a problem with habitual use) I get some weird ass symptoms like not being able to feel my limbs.
