Original brand whip VS Bunnings whip (ie. bulk tubing)

Is the clear vinyl tubing you can get from say Bunnings, for example, of any lesser quality than the original say Arizer, for example, whip tube? The price difference is phenomenal.

I know they talk about the original being "food safe", but I was under the impression that this referred more to the sterility of the product. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I have used both and the only difference I can detect is that the original doesn't seem to get quite so pliable when warm/hot. Both still maintains shape and consistency when cold again though.
 
Would have thought bunnings had 'food safe' tubing.

They certainly did back when I was making spingers.
 
I think your main concern is the temperature rating of the bunnings tube. It could be made of cheaper materials with lower melting points. you wouldn't want to inhale that shit. Anyway of finding out what they are both made of?
