i know oxycodone is best taken orally so I would to start off by saying I know this sounds stupid. I've heard a rush is possible by snorting roxy and me, being the moron I am, wonders how it compares to flat out oral consumption. I know duration and bioavailability would be cut short but would I have to snort more than my usual oral dose to get the same peak? How is the rush compared to the high of oral?

To be honest I always preferred snorting just because of habit and only when actually possible. I would think if you took it as a crushed up powder dissolved in a small amount of water, like 4 ounces, and drank it on an empty stomach the effect would be very similar to snorting. I've never done it personally, and now I don't do opiates, but I think it would work.

It's best to avoid snorting as it damages the nose. If you can find a way taking it as it was designed, which is orally, is the safest way. There may be a slight rush from snorting oxy but after taking a few OPs orally I really think a lot of the effects were subjective. There is definitely a quicker time between ingestion and come up with snorting and maybe a slight rush but the high is the same.

Just my opinion.

Oral beats snorting hands down.

Snorting Oxycodone is only done by nancy boys showing off to under aged girls, thinking they are Pablo Escobar.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm not gonna snort them. Snorting anything makes me very very impulsive when it comes to redosing, I learned that when I used to snort methylphenidate. Plus I have a very very limited supply and I don't want to waste them.

Snorting them makes you feel them in about 2 minutes as opposed to the 15 or so with oral

You feel them quicker and peak higher and quicker. But it goes away quicker.

Think of it as a pointed mountain as opposed to a sloped plateau

With oral if the dose is right I get a "rush or high" like you would snorting it's just super drawn out.

breaking up the pill helps absorbtion also on an empty stomach.

I've been on oxycodone since my car accident in 2008....and I get more relief when I snort them.

yeah there's no way I'd snort them now, I don't know what I was thinking. These things are stupid expensive, hydrocodone is half the cost with the same (I would argue better) result. I will get them again, but I would go broke in no time if I got addicted to snorting them. Even taking them orally I feel guilt tripped by the huge price tag.

Compared to the oral high the rush is more intense and relaxing. And i personally prefer getting it all in your blood at once and not slowly so i think the highs better plus you swallow most what doesmt get absorbed anyway so bio availability shouldnt be much of a problem

I've been plugging the oxy since I started this post. I still haven't snorted it but the rush is better than oral and it lasts just as long.

Oxycodone has a higher bioavailability when taken orally but because it reaches peak effects quicker it gives the impression of it being stronger, when in reality a lesser amount is being absorbed via insufflation.

^which makes a bigger difference for recreational vs medicinal/PM use in this case. I use to snort all my 30s. But since getting on PM, I'd be doing 2x every day to stay as constantly medicated by snorting---AND, I prefer a constant low level of medication, which I found was only possible through oral dosing.

I've never had any success with GFJ but enzyme inhibition generally extends the duration rather than increasing strength of the high by any significant amount, that's certainly been my experience at least. With tagamet (the only enzyme inhibitor I've found to have any effect on metabolism), which is a stronger P450 inhibitor than GFJ, I would argue that opioids had weaker effects than usual. Long and drawn out at the cost of any sort of "rush"... ~2/3rds as strong twice as long. In other words enzyme inhibitors like GFJ are the last thing I'd take if I wanted a faster onset/stronger rush.
