Its fair to say my best friend has been a bit a T*** this week.
He got his hands on a box of Oxycontin at the beginning of last week and decided to have a massive 5 or 6 day binge!!
Last night he decided to sniff 1 pill and take the rest of the pills away from his house and stash them somewhere safe so he could go back there and retrieve them on the weekend or whenever he decides to have a party. (Lets just say that idea didn't go to plan)

By 3pm today he started having week and achy legs, by 4pm he felt uncontrollably tired and had a 2 hour sleep (he never does this). when he woke up he was sweating all over and felt even worse and was thinking about weird things that would not normally enter his head or bother him. that in turn turned him into an emotional wreck (felt upset over something ridiculous on tv), by 7 oclock it was just to uncomfortable and horrible that he went and got another pill from his stash.....

1) Is it even possible to be having withdrawal after just 6 days?
2) has anyone else had the weird thoughts and emotions because that's the part he cant handle.
3) What should he do now

'He' should start referring to himself in the first person. We know it's you.
Some more information would be a good help. How many mg were you taking daily? It sounds like you may be suffering from mild depression and coming down from the high has exasperated the symptoms. I do believe it's possible for you to be feeling mild discomfort after 6 days of use if it was quite heavy. Remember your body and receptors are readjusting to not having the OxyContin in your system.

It's entirely possible to build a dependence to opioids in 6 days, especially if you're doing them constantly and you suddenly stop.

Welcome to opioid withdrawal. The only smart option is to wait it out and take it as a lesson. Taking more opioids will just mean the pit you're digging gets bigger.

The two separate times I binged Heroin for 4 days straight without any break, i definitely had some kind of evil withdrawals for 4 days afterwards, mostly mental stuff like you describe, depression, discomfort, negative thoughts, bleakness, its very unpleasant and yet its not even close to proper opiate withdrawals.

Bambooshoot ....1)if i spoke in first person i would be incriminating myself and in a court of law this could be used as evidence. 2) this is genuinely advice for my mate so keep your beak out.
Hes decided take a few days off work and go cold turkey (off tramadol aswell) untill its totally out of my system and he starts feeling better.
Ive been through a tramadol withdrawal twice already and i know how bad it is. but its usually gone in 3 days.

As far as the oxy is concerned hes been taking approx 60mg a day some times 90mg, with 300mg tramadol

Do some research. Posting in the third person or using shit like SWIM, does not protect you legally. Just like people can get convicted if on tape they never said the word "heroin", but instead used slang like "dope" or "smack", that doesn't protect them. Judges and Juries can easily infer what was meant, and that's enough to convict you on. Thinking simply referring to illegal acts in the third person will protect you, is going to screw you over one day because it doesn't. All it does make posts annoying to read.

Actually mate that's where your wrong, if your using words like SWIM then yes...its obvious that your referring to yourself. but when im genuinely referring to a friend who needs help i cannot be convicted. I dont know what the laws are in your country but in mine you need actual evidence to prove guilty.

You're mixing up your pronouns.

And you're right about evidence, posting online isn't, so just use I.

Right.. make a few posts saying my "friend", robbed a bank and shot three people, and see if that wont be used as evidence at your trial. Ha.

Online posts can't be used as sole evidence to convict somebody.. but in combination with other tangible evidence, it can be the nail in a coffin.

But whatever, this is not the place for legal discussion. If you were truly talking about a friend, fine, it happens.. but we get a lot of people who use dumb third person nonsense like "my cat's friend" or "my friend so and so" blah blah, because they think that actually provided anonymity or protects them, when it doesn't, and in the process is really annoying to read.

So, carry on.

its best to use "my pet unicorn", it gives you the most protection.

^^Hahaha ^^. @justincoll Keep my beak out?? You came on a drugs forum asking a question. I answered your question to the best of my ability. It never ceases to amaze how ungrateful people are when someone has taken the time to read there post and give a thoughtful answer. And I think everyone else has explained well enough how saying 'he' is not going to protect you from anything especially since in one of your posts you get your pronouns mixed up and go from saying 'he' in one sentence to 'I' in the next. Also if Justin is your real name that's not so clever for someone who is concerned about protecting themselves legally. Idiot.

1) Yes

2) The withdrawal from such a short binge is going to be characterized mostly my mental ailments.

3) Don't take opiates more than once or every 3-7 days or this feeling will compound.

Good luck staying off the dope as much as possible, the negative far outweigh the positives.

Haha. "Ladies and gentleman of the jury. As you can see, my client was clearly referring to his pet unicorn in reference to the aforementioned criminal acts and thus can not be condemned based on the actions of his devious mythological pet. I rest my case."

Na, it would definitely be, "my client was referencing his pet unicorn, he's clearly insane."

@bamboo, i asked 3 questions......you completely went off subject talking about who im referring to.
Who im refering too is none of your buissness isit really? and as for being annoying you have annoid the hell out of me

sorry- I didnt realise that seeking information and advice for a close friend could possibly be used as evidence to try an convict me of something. very strange

Trust me the w/d make you more irritable and have mood swings. You'll be pissy till w/d symptoms subside as they are stressful and induce anxiety. Just don't use anymore and hang in there. If you do use to reduce symptoms use the smallest diss possible to not extend the W/D.

Edit:

I wish the best to your magical unicorn friend for a speedy recovery.

That is not true at all. I am a lawyer. Just like in the movies, anything you say can be used against you. Even if you promise you are talking about your friend. It is called circumstantial evidence.

However, the cops and the DAs have much better things to do than to investigate a random post on a internet forum when someone is talking about the personal possession and use of a small amount of drugs.

Edit: to the poster above I'm hoping your talking about op... Still your post doesn't contribute any more than the obvious.
