Memes Official Meme Discussion Thread

Libs don't support Antifa because liberalism is a right wing ideology.
Its true Antifa has little support among moderate leftists or the general population, but please speak for yourself. I consider myself Antifa and i fully support my comrades. Be it in the US (wanna say solidarity with the George Floyd rebellion at this point!), here in Europe or wherever.

Sure peaceful protests can be a good thing, but restricting your praxis to that is a bad idea. One needs a broad spectrum of actions to bring about change and aggression towards inanimate objects or violence against the instruments of oppression like the police can be fully legitimate.
Or do you think Chauvin would face murder charges if people hadn't been rioting and burning down that precinct?
Capitalists will react when they're hit where it hurts them the most: their bottom line.
When you target a Target, their CEO isbgonna think twice about supporting the "Thin Blue Line", etc.

It seems like just a lot of “street theater” at this point. The proud boys trot out, then antifa trots out, they jeer at each other and maybe throw some punches, rinse and repeat x1000

It all just seems so pointless and silly. Such groups ought to thank the heavens that their counterparts on the right or left exist, it gives them a great excuse for whatever dumb action they want to do, plus a good excuse to play dress-up, either with rifles & bandoliers (on the right) or “black bloc” style (on the left)

I actually think that anti-fascist action is a proud and honorable tradition on the left. The last good example of it here in the USA was at Charlottesville, the community came out and smashed the fash, and since it was the fascist “coming out party” (and because fascism places a high value on symbolism and visual portrayals of strength and virility) it really was a fatal blow to the so-called “alt right” and set their movement back years. A real “antifa” victory. But, again, a lot of the recent (late Trump admin) stuff comes across to me as pointless street theater.

Sometimes I even like street theater. The Black Panther Party in California marching with rifles during the early days in Oakland etc, that was street theater, as was some of the “new left” pranks from the late 60s/early 70s in the USA & Europe. Good stuff. That kinda stuff shocked and scandalized the elite, though, whereas today the elite is probably scared more by Trump and his MAGA brown shirts like the proud boys or whatever

I actually agree with some of what you say (I also don’t place “non violence” on some sort of untouchable pedestal, and indeed it’s hard to think of any substantive moment of political or socioeconomic change which wasn’t accompanied by some level of violence and/or chaos), I just think that you oughta turn more of a critical eye towards some of these tactics...

I'll smile, and laugh a bit. It speaks more of her level of thought and communication than it does on what message she is trying to relay.

Right, I think it's dumb meme flashcards are being used to convey a point in the highest levels of the government. It's almost a meta joke on itself.

I read R Kelly is going away for a while, bout time that piece of dogs shit got taken off the streets. however, the trapped in the closet music video/musical was actually artistically pretty clever

Sorry to be that guy, but Schrödinger actually made up this thought-experiment to show the absurdity of the whole thing. The cat ISN'T both dead and alive at the same time, she's either one and the uncertainty of the particle does not affect the cat. But apparently people don't understand his intentions and the whole meaning of the thought experiment...

..... this is fucking surreal...

So after it came out that Donald Trump *quite literally* DID NOT PAY ANY TAXES AT ALL because he cheats his own system...... Fox calls Biden's temporarily unpaid taxes "the ultimate hypocrisy"... are you fucking kidding me? At least Biden actually PAYS FUCKING TAXES AT ALL YOU SDOFINQW#:"O@I%NR"@#$OIn

Well couldn’t trumps be considered “temporarily unpaid” I mean these are from 2018 how long do you have to wait to go from temporarily unpaid to tax fraud ?

Tell me, why does Trump even hide his taxes? What is he hiding? He's hiding the fact that he cheats the system and ends up owing $0 because he PAYS zero. He's a tax evader via corrupt laws he helps create. He hides his taxes because if the public knew he cheated taxes for his entire fucking life they would not elect him.

Biden has NEVER hidden his taxes.

Who is REALLY hiding something and doing something wrong here?

well they both are doing something wrong…that shouldn't be ignored based on what side you sit. However I find it interesting how hunter is now in the art game which we know is littered with money laundering and what not. I really think joe uses hunter as his kind of buffer for his shady shit, it’s a win win joe distances himself with plausible deniability and hunter get a allowance to do whatever the hell it is he likes to do (we have a good idea) hunter is a dipshit, joe has to be pulling his strings

Seeing that someone posted a Ben Garrison comic here unironically, I'm gonna respond with that:

Right yeah the only thing missing from that comic was a rabbi treading on the cross

There's no shame in it, unless he ride over a kid, in that case he deserve it

sorry I don't get it at all.. So driving with Hitler who even shouted shotgun although nobody else would take a seat in that car anyway is fine? No shame in it at all?
In Germany we have a saying that goes:

If nine people sit at a table with one Nazi, you've got ten Nazis sitting at a table.

Also I don't understand the sentence about deserving *it* (who and what exactly?)

maybe my reading comprehension is just shitty as fuck after being awake on stims for 72 h, maybe it's due to my lacking english as it's not even my third language, but *maybe* the comment above is jusf logically inconsistent, which wouldn't be surprising at all actually. The comment I'm referring to just reeks like Nazi apologia to me

The reason you don't get it is because you don't have a sense of humor, it's actually quite funny. And I don't mean that as a put-down in anyway because I was exactly like you when I was young. I saw everything through a political lens. Nothing wrong with that being young and idealistic.

However historically it's a little Rich hearing a German lecture a Frenchman about the Third Reich

Also my grandfather was German and Jewish and spent time in a concentration camp. Of all people I would have expected to hear that German saying from him. However no criticism of Germany at all. No word about Germany at all (despite having a serial number tattoo which I have since learned identified him forced labour at Auschwitz before he was shipped somewhere else, though I can't be sure because I never asked him and he died when I was my twenties)

This meme is very effective because it's true. Plus it works on multiple levels hey I was going to criticize it at first because I thought that the lighter should go before the letters, but then that's just me always ready with a poison pen

I was a socialist once but I never liked communism . Never much liked capitalism either ... Could not have imagined they're mirror images in their chronic late-stages. Little difference when they tell you when or if your honest day's work is required
