Sucks she got arrested. Though nowhere is there context to how much of a disturbance she was causing = was 'disturbing the peace' in play? Her lawyer, in that article, goes off on racism, which I don't see as any part of her getting arrested. The lawyer also states 'Many times' when a gov signs a bill to law it is open to public, and members of congress. Nowhere does it state why this was private and live feed, only that she was fighting to get in and couldn't. Watching Biden do EOs this way leaves little footing for this argument, besides 'many times' does not mean 'every time'.

^^Above comments focused on the instance of a State Rep getting arrested for trying to break into a private signing by the gov. I'll reserve any comments for the bill itself over in the appropriate thread Ali started.

Idunno, I wasn't there, but presume it is the reason for what we see. You know of some other reason?

EDIT: We may be crossed up. My comment is to the bottom half with a cop and a guy in uniform. Yours may be 'what law about kneeling'. If so, we're simply miscommunicating.
 
I haven't really been following the story too closely but iirc the reason he was pulled over originally was that an air freshener was partially obstructing his rear view mirror

Also, he didn't immediately pull over but instead pulled over in a well-lit public area (smart move on his part, as it turned out)

A U.S. Border Patrol source reports the number of migrant “got-away’s” tallied by the agency surpassed 118,000 for this fiscal year. In less than six months, the “got-away” number is nearly double that for all of Fiscal Year 2020. Last year, 69,000 illegal immigrants managed to avoid apprehension by the Border Patrol. The Hunter Biden-related stuff never fails to get a cheap laugh from me. I feel for Hunter, nobody's perfect and a lot of the criticism of him seems very judgemental...but he just lives up to that whole black sheep failson archetype so perfectly...also the "shady relative of a prominent politician" archetype, a Billy Carter kinda figure if you will

I didn't get that one either. Okay, so a car with the coexist bumper sticker got fucked up in riots. I fail to see the point, unless it's some vague attempt to suggest that anyone who would put a coexist bumper sticker on their car supports rioting because they probably support BLM. Which relies on the sketchy assumption that all people who support BLM support violent protest, because obviously all of the BLM protests across the country/world have been violent, therefore the entire movement is invalidated, and we need laws restricting our constitutional right to assembly because some protests have turned violent in a movement that has been overwhelmingly peaceful except in a few places like Portland.

Ironic how conservatives ted to support these new laws restricting freedom of assembly, yet shriek in terror at the suggestion that any amount of gun control should be increased.
