I almost clapped too, when the guy below pulled it out of dude's hands.
I'd argue that's what the guy with the flag wanted. He's clearly streaming on his phone and saying "see!? see?!" to his facebook fans after they pull it down. I feel like a lot of hardcore Trump supporters WANT to be shut down, taken down, silenced as it confirms an idealogical war front on "free speech" being "silenced". I'm just armchair speculating here...

But yeah you're right that flag is probably worth $200 in material and if it was my flag I'd be pissed. But at the same time, what did he expect?

You are a more pure soul than me Xorkoth. I marvel at your aura. Seriously.

I used to consider myself level headed, not so much anymore, but I look up to you for moments of sanity.

I'm not sucking up, but I'll be mailing you a valentines day card next feb (featuring a polaroid of my dick)

"The police
Your friend
Your helper"

Believe it or not but the slogan of german police today is essentially the same: Die Polizei - Dein Freund und Helfer. They have it on cop cars and some badges.
Coincidence? Consistency? Why change the slogan anyway. If it had fooled them back then, it'll work today as well. And it does unfortunately. The slogan is super pervasive..

These days in America "I support the police" has deformed into this radical political ideation.

I also support the police.

I do not support police brutality

Apparently you cannot think this way in America... it's either one or the other.... bullshit

Yeah agreed. I support the need for police as an institution. It's naive at best to believe we could function as a society without a police force (leave it to vigilantes? Give me a break). Police officers, when they're not corrupt violent playground bullies turned adult, are brave individuals doing a valuable public service that is very dangerous and doesn't pay well, and is incredibly thankless.

That said, we have a big problem with police culture and the role of police in America that is a really bad thing and that needs to change and improve. The position attracts a disproportionate number of said grown-up schoolyard bullies, and many police departments, rather than putting in the legwork to identify and weed out these candidates before they become police, instead turn a blind eye or actively encourage their sort. The result is that we have a lot of bad cops. Add to that the training given (and lack of training in important areas, too), and the increasing militarization of police forces, and you get where we are today, with police brutality running rampant. But there are a whole lot of good cops who don't abuse their power and who help people, too. I support those police, and I'm not so naive as to think we could function without a police force. So I support the institution as a concept as well. Just not the way it is now.

Exactly. Training and vetting of police officers is honestly a joke in America. I can name a few other countries where it takes over a year of training to be police - and they don't even carry guns... Training in America is 6 weeks if I'm not mistaken. Less than the Army but, yeah I guess they do less. Still charged with the duty of taking another mans life or not...

I support police in that I think we need to spend A LOT MORE on police training. A LOT more. Training is a joke for what they end up doing every day. Spend MORE on police and TRAIN them more!!!!

Defund the police is a dumbass idea.... wtf why would that do!? Stupid ultra libs are just as bad sometimes.
