someone please help me solve this:


A 50kg student slides down the library railing 4.0m high and reaches the bottom with a speed of 8.0m/s, How much heat due to friction was generated in the railing during the slide?

I know that you have to use the Fk = 1/2mv^2 and Ff = FkhΔd. Are you supposed to use the Fg = mgh too?

The sight of that alone is almost enough to give me an anxiety attack. That looks ridiculous, what kind of math is that even, calc?

I stopped taking math after my second year of a one year geometry/trig class and still barely scraped by. I was great at math till I met drugs, that part of the brain must have gone first. No equations for me.
 
actually, it's physics.

I'm pretty the problem is easy if I could just break it down into pieces that I know, which I do know one part now. but it's still a pain in the ass.

I think it's something like:

Eg1 = Ek2 + heat (which is caused from the friction)


but I don't get the right answer when I do it...so obviously it's wrong.

I used to eat a lot of dex/ady and smoked meth for about a year or so, but I haven't done meth in nearly two years and I try to not even take dex nowadays.

And I'm in a really good mood today, HOPEFULLY I won't end up feeling sick later. Had some wonderful dreams and music is great :)

Anyone a comp gamer playing SC2 or Cataclysm?

:| <--- see that's what my face looks like now. Between being sick as fuck and these old formula 80's I'm still getting, I feel really out of it. I feel high even when I'm not on drugs, just one of those types of bugs i guess.

But I still haven't drank any alcohol since thusday. I'm staying sober, not clean... :D
 
Shit. I haven't had a fever this high since I was like 15. I feel like there's razor blades in my throat and there's a pillow over my face when I try to breathe. The small wildfire in my lungs is not comfortable either. I'm still not over the pain from my car accident on monday, so just throw that on the pile too. I have to go to work tomorrow, this is not cool. Can't call out 'cause I just missed a day last week and we're already short staffed.

I'm gonna go lie down and drink a lot of water. Have a good evening everyone. Make sure to wash your hands before entering other threads, I'd hate to get you all sick.
