I've been taking around 20-25mg hydrocodone for about 2.5 weeks. I have a history of abuse over 8 years ago and I'm worried I may experience withdrawals. I only have 7 norco left. Should I taper down I order to prevent anything bad? I don't even know if I'll have withdrawals but the thought scares me. I have flexeril I am going to start taking at night to help me sleep. Any suggestions would be great!

My advice is to go cold turkey! You're taking a very small amount, and while I understand your fear of discomfort, tapering eon't be necessary after that short period and will just trick you into using longer and more than you intend to.

Every taper I did on my own never ended. I would always go down to a very small dose, then think "I'm doing so fine, I'll just get one high before I'm done with it" or talked myself into feeling too much discomfort so I'd up my dose.

My advice would be to have someone who can help you with your kick. If you need to, get some comfort meds like clonidine and a mild benzo for the night and you will be totally fine. You'll see that symptoms will subside a lot faster than you feared!

Thanks for your input. I find myself already convincing myself that I'll take just a few more today and stop tomorrow. I'm pretty sure the mental part will be the hardest to break.

You should not have bad withdrawals - If anything I would suggest using Kratom to help combat it if you're hurting too much.
Kratom has been a god send for me and would suggest it to anyone using it for combating withdrawals!

Best of luck to you!
