Hello there.
I'm one of those users who you wouldn't even think miiight be a drug user.
I can't be the only person who is controlling of my highs? I have always researched anything extensively before trying it. I've only skipped a test kit 4 times in the last 10 years of frequent but casual use. I always be sure to give myself basic nutrition and keep normal hygiene. I like feeling all sorts of different highs and I like some of the other effects certain drugs give me (like weight loss or energy to get shit done thst I've been procrastinating on way too long).
I've used marijuana, MDMA, cocaine, magic mushrooms, LSD, PCP, heroin, opium, methamphetamine, DMT, some other research chemicals and plenty of prescription drugs (personally prescribed and not). I like and dislike all of them for different reasons. Some I still use occasionally and some I have no interest in using again.
I've used meth, cocaine and MDMA the most. I prefer stimulant highs and psychedelic experiences to anything else.
I have never personally had an issue with addiction. I did have physical side effects from getting heroin out of my system after about a half year of using it.
I used meth to lose weight once before and kept the weight off by healthy means for a year after and then I got pregnant and gained 80 lbs so I'm using it to shed the weight. Dieting and exercising didn't help for almost 2 years post partum. I'm sick of hating who I am in the mirror. So for the last 4 months I've been orally administering 80 mg of methamphetamine once a day when I wake up. I don't particularly get HIGH off of it. I have lost weight in a healthy pattern. I've spent $250 total money for the substance and capsules as well as some liquid vitamin D and another liquid multivitamin and as accurate of a scale I could find for measuring doses. October 20th is my final dose.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has TRULY used drugs regularly for any reason and not ended up losing control like I hear so often? I personally attribute my ability to remain in control to having no family history of addiction and already enjoying life without drugs.
I've just never met a person quite like me so I'm turning to the internet to see if I'm just alone in my experiences.

I too don't have a family history of addiction or really ANY drug use. The only drug that has ever given me problems was opioids which came after all of my psychedelic and empathogen drug explorations. They act almost as a coping mechanism to my extensive explorations.
