Some of you may accuse my dog of lying, I can assure you that the following is 100% truthful. My dog began taking oxy back when "OC" was still around. He has been insufflating 120-150mg of oxy daily for years. He does it all in 1 dose, once a day, and usually doesn't redose for 18-30 hours after his last dose. my dogs friends all think he is lying about the following, and maybe someone here can shed some light on the situation. My dogs habit is really effecting his checkbook and he wants to stop but is afraid. Other details about my dog: He's in good shape, early 30's, no injuries, he's a hustler working up to 18 hours on some days, sexually active, and in general is a very active dog. He also smokes MJ. Here is where it gets weird.... If my dog takes his normal dose at 10am monday morning, at 10 am WEDNESDAY he is still ok. No chills, virtually no symptoms to speak of. My dog just feels a little off. Is this as bad as it will get for my dog? He doesn't know what to expect, he needs to stop, and telling the family/taking off from work is not an option. Does anyone have any insight here? Will my dog suddenly get hit with a huge knockout punch if he continues to abstain for a few more hours, or another day? Is my dog lucky? Is he going to dodge most of the physical W/D and have to deal with mental only?(which definitely sucks also) Can someone knowledgeable please help?
