I wish I knew?
Lately, especially early on in the day I have no desire to eat, in fact everything sounds so gross that eating is pretty much out of the question... so I feel like in order to gain my appetite i have to smoke.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Somethings I've tried are forcing myself to eat, stopped eating at night time, and more exercise but I still seem to have no appetite untill my daily smoke time :D

I had this problem, really bad for a long time, and while I stopped it for a while, I pretty much still do. I don't know if there's much you can do about it --- I ended up going on vacation for a week and being weed-free...by the end of the week I was able to eat more normally than I have in years. Best advice --- don't smoke until late at night for a while, and start small. It's understandable early on in the day --- to get myself back into it I would skip breakfast, since the thought made me nauseous, and try to eat something for lunch. Even if it's small at first --- basically, just try to eat something when you AREN'T high. After a while, you'll get used it again. Granola bars are what I try to do --- it's a relatively small amount of food, even visually, so it's easier to force yourself to eat it.

Sorry if this is choppy --- I'm still pretty bad about eating if I'm not high...it's some advice, but its more of a "I hear ya on this one." 8)

You may have some kind of stomach problem or something... I know a girl that said the exact same thing... no appetite unless she was high. Anyway she just looks redicously skinny and unhealthy almost. I'd see a doctor... although I don't know if he can give you a better medicine than the good old ganj

It's a side effect some people get from abusing mary. Go on a smoke break for a week and you will be hungry again.

They make pills that contain the cannaboids which make you hungry, which can be found at places like GNC or bodybuilding.com, so you can continue to up your appetite while not smoking

I am a daily smoker and have the same problem. I have also asked other daily smokers about it and every single one I have asked also had this problem. I know weed isn't supposed to be physically addictive, but I think the munchies are lol.
Unless I smoke, the idea of eating makes me super nauseous.

Ya I basically only eat when I'm high. I went to Germany for 6 weeks (well im still here) and for the first two weeks I didnt have any weed and the one thing I noticed was my complete lack of an appetite.

When I was smoking all day every day I had the same problem. I couldn't even force food down my stomach unless I was stoned. I've since then reduced my smoking to about a gram a week and that problem has completely gone away.

''Quand l'appétit va, tout va''

French proverb meaning when your appetite is fine, everything else is.

Perhaps your lack of appetite is a sign that something else is wrong, either with your body or your mind. If it lasts you should talk to a doctor about it

marijuana can in some aspects be considered an antidepressent and antidepressants increase appetite. for example, i've been on prozac and zoloft (seperatley) for a long time. when i stopped i had no appetite. its cuz you dont have as much dopamine and seratonin flowing through you. it will go away with time as your body gets used to not having weed in it

its a withdrawal symptom. your body becomes dependent on thc to have a normal apatite. i know some people say weed isn't physically addictive but that's bullshit.

to fix it, you need to break the physical addiction. quit for a while, go through withdrawal and youll be able to eat again. then if you want to smoke again without becoming physically dependent again, do what someone else already said in this thread. only smoke late at night after you're done eating for the day. don't ever eat when you're stoned. this will prevent the physical addiction from getting as strong.

I think most people who are daily weed smokers have this problem, I know I sure do, I have to like force myself to eat if I'm not high, I usually won't eat until I get stoned even if it means waiting till late in the day... It's just because were used to using a drug that stimulates our appetite, without it were fucked

I don't know if that is true, I take citalopram, more commonly know as Celexa... http://www.drugs.com/ppa/citalopram.html

My dr told me that people are likely to lose weight, and they don't like giving it to people with eating disorders because it tends to make you lose your appetite. Upset stomach and nausea are highly reported side effects according to that link, and I know that personally, in addition to the whole weed withdrawal thing, those side effects tend to make it difficult for me to eat even when I was starting to regulate things when not high.

I don't know too much research about science, but I'm just kinda elaborating on your post I guess from personal experience.

i always have the same problem once i got omneprazol from my doctor it helped a bit but it used to be if i tried to eat or drink anything other than water couldnt swallow at all really till i was done with my morning smoke session

i had this problem, id have to have cones before id eat anything most of the time, breakfast wasnt even in the picture. after i had a weeks break my appetite improved, so i suggest just have a break and try eating at regular times of day, instead of when you have the munchys, and it sorts itself out usually

^ Same with me, until I start coming down and then its nomnomnom.

To solve the no appetite problem I'd say create a food schedule and stick with it for a couple weeks. Your body will eventually adjust to it.
