Next Time, My Turn
Go first, so I hear
how your first lines come, the
way you speak flows, drip
drops off your tongue. I ask, you say
it will not be shown, not as
tricks have clues to solve them; I
have seen the green you would not say.
I pry, you close, look down then dart. I
chase; you move fast, you
are grace. We speak slow, soft
when we eat our words, we taste of
fruits blooms bees and hives,
buzz love as we pass. Glance
says Love lisp that for me,
let me hear and know
what you meant to let slip, what I
stopped from sound. What I want
are the words you say next, your mouth
spills seed bursts and spring;
I am awed to know I dreamed
what came to you, saw it first,
knew you would love
my smile as you spoke.
