hey guys I'm new to the board but have used blue light for years. I've been on and off opiates for about 12 or so years now and am currently "working on it" again. I've lived a long hard life and enjoy talking with like minded individuals as my family doesn't understand addiction whatsoever.

Thanks so much! Means a lot to have an outlet to vent frustrations and discuss relapses, I'm back on sub for the time being but struggle daily to not call the connects!

interestingly opiate addiction has alot to do with social isolation. there was a study called rat park; do some research on it. anyways it took two different groups of rats: one isolated and one not isolated. long story short isolation increases addiction.

furthermore in the vietnam war many vets used heroin to escape the harshness that was warfare. during the war they couldn't easily beat the habit; but returning home 95% up and quit without help. this could be because of the transition from a hostile environment to a safe one and due to less social and emotional isolation.

furthermore have you considered ibogaine? or psychedelic therapy. try looking into LSA or ibogaine. ibogaine would be the better route to go but do your research. i would start with erowid; here let me provide a link.

don't forget to look into alternatives to tabernathe iboga like other plants that contain similar alkaloids. some of these alternatives may also be legal to purchase or grow (though not fit for human consumption)

also here's my intro if you want to get to know me :) http://www.bluelight.org/vb/threads/747636-hello-everyone!-from-missouri

ohh and also i should mention that i don't want you to think that it's effective to combat one drug with another; but psychedelics have shown signs of being anti addictive.

Yeah it's really hard, especially when it comes to just simply deleting the numbers. It's so much harder than just pressing a button and forgetting a name to a face. It's goood at least you are on subs, I haven't let my addiction get to the point that I've needed serious help quitting but I know I will if I continue down this path.. ah opiates are the devil!
