I just wanted to share what has been for me, exceptionally effective for anxiety,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prazosin

I approached my doctor with some clinical studies showing it to be effective for flashbacks and PTSD and night terrors.

He wrote me a script and I started on 2mg per day and I have to say, it has made such a difference.

I had tried propranolol and that didn't really help, but this does.

The first dose is very sedating but after that it is ok, but still makes me kinda drowsy so I take it in the evening.

Jump on pubmed and find some studies and take it to your doctor. You can add it to any regime (I would imagine).

Yes, I feel generally calmer. Social anxiety is very much my problem and I have had good success with alcohol and caffeine avoidance/minimisation and clomipramine with Prazosin and exercise every day

I have this anxiety problem too, and all meds I've tried have done no more than suppress the symptoms, while providing negative side effects.
Funnily enough, ages ago MDMA was used to treat PTSD and with positive success rates. Of course using it for this purpose could probably be a bad idea if you have dependency issues.

I find this better than benzos with far less side effects, no shit

This is a secret that needs to get out, its magic stuff
