Good morning,
I would like to have your opinions regarding neuroleptics and the cognitive disorders they can cause.
To summarize my situation, I was hospitalized in a psychiatric center a year ago following anxiety attacks, I received several treatments there (Abilify, dipiperon, atarax, lysanxia, sertraline and clotiapine). Clotiapine, also called Etumine, suited me well at first for sleeping but after several weeks I started to have cognitive problems (problems with thoughts, major problems with memory, reflection, spatial-temporal disorder to know what day it is, less dopamine, less emotions,...) I didn't worry too much until it persisted, worried and anxious I had a relapse and I found myself in another psychiatric center, the psychiatrist would do tests on me for reassure myself and I see a neurologist, positive results, nothing according to them. I stayed there for 3 months with the same treatment (Etumine + Sertraline + Quietapine), when I left the psychiatric hospital I returned to work part-time medically, still with my cognitive problems. And then after 2 months I decide with the agreement of my psychiatrist to gradually stop everything, telling myself that I will get back to my previous life, my emotions,... well it was the worst decision I made , after 9 days of weaning off my neuroleptic things are getting worse, my brain is turned off, as if this neuroleptic had destroyed my brain, difficult to explain but it's probably the worst thing I'm currently experiencing in my entire life, every day is a challenge, so I wanted to ask if any of you have ever had this after stopping a neuroleptic? Are these signs of withdrawal? if it's permanent? I hesitate to take my neuroleptic again because it is unbearable
Thank you in advance for your answers
