Need serious info on Chicago club scene

I was at Atomic in Ottawa on Saturday night dancing really hard and rolling face. Anyways i was talking to a couple of guys from Chicago and they were the most arrogant fuckers I have ever met. All they could talk about was how much E they have done, and how awesome they are with glowsticks and how much better the chicago club scene than any other scene in the world. (The guy gave really shitty glow shows btw)
Anyways, I wanted to get the opinion and insight of bluelighters ho have partied in chicago so I can get a better understanding of just how good it really is. this is because I don't want to stereotype anybody from Chicago cause I know there are lots ofcool people from there.

Heya...glad you didn't lump all chicago peeps into the arrogant asshole category! There are some of us which are hella cool. Actually the club scene in Chicago is ok. There are a lot of clubs but a lot of attitude comes with it. That's why I decided to check out raves in the first place. Lot more friendly people. Like anything though it's what you make out of it...so give chicago a try sometime.

Plaese read my last post on the chicago rave scene! i think its called 'info on the chicago rave scene....' I would stick to parties outside of the chicago city limits for awhile if you dont want the party your at to get busted!

I've lived in a bunch of cities currently, I've setteled on Chicago.
I love this city and it's many different people. Unfortunately, the assholes seem to have louder voices as they do everywhere.
I think Chicago's clubs are fine, I wouldn't go so far as THE BEST. It's big city so there are tons of clubs for each taste. Always something to do.

That really sucks about those two guys talkin shit. But I have found out the choice club 4 me is definitely Karma. They play trance/house/techno. Open thurs(1030pm-4am), fri(1030pm-5am), and sat(1030pm-5am). They are always bringing in good talented DJ's to the tables. Both domestic and international spinners there. Its a really cool set up(three floors and as many rooms + VIP room). Sounds are very decent, lighting is ok. If you like it dark, you can have it that way too. Vibe is always there, especially if you hook up w/ my friends and I

. People are cool for the most part, as always there ARE assholes and idiots there. But like PJhuck said, its always what you make of it. You have to want to have a good time, although you dont have to try very hard, if at all.
There are lots of other clubs in chicago, whatever your taste desires. Crobar is another club. I dont go there cuz to me its way too trendy, and when its too trendy, its too damn crowded. I like to dance and have room to do so.
Hey man, for the most part Chicagoans are down to earth people. These two idiots you dealt with were prolly like, "We dont know this guy, he doesnt know us, soooo, hey, lets be sociopaths!! YAY!!" LOL
