Stuck in needle and then pulled back blood and pushed through (suboxone). When i pushed in i felt a sting but couldn't tell there was a bump forming but i pulled back again and blood still came through. I am tolerant to it anyway because of prescription and so it gives me no noticeable affects so i cant tell what i had done. i do now know if i missed completely or what had happened.
When finished there was a small bump that i tried to poke through with a needle to drain it if i had missed ( dunno what im doing anyway) and nothing happened.

3 days later I now have a warm, sore, red spot on forearm that is slightly roundish around the injection spot.
(the whole red area is almost 2x2in ,not a square but more of a rounder spot)

from the top to bottom of this red spot (towards wrist/elbow) there is a somewhat hard area about as round as a quarter.

there is no noticeable, blatant bump when looking directly at it but when i look to it from the side i can definitely tell it is swollen.

Can anyone tell me what they think could be happening or what i had done to cause this And Also do i need to Seek medical attention if its Gonna get Worse?

Yeah you need to go to a doctor. Try to avoid your sub doctor, obviously. I've only tried shooting sub once, the film. I felt like death the next day. Didn't have a rash though.

its happened twice before and went away at about a week or a little more but im just afraid that it could be different cause i thinks its bigger than before and it was bigger shot (+water/+Bup)

Hey there,

You definitely need to see a doctor ASAP. Redness, swelling, pain and heat are all signs of infection and you may well need some antibiotics. You really don't want to leave it - it can cause a nasty abscess that might need surgical drainage as well as life-threatening sepsis and the potential to lose a limb if it spreads.

Even a partial miss can increase your likelihood of developing an abscess, and shooting pills increases the risk more as there is more foreign material (fillers/binders) which can sit in your tissue and become a focus for infection. Did you use a micron filter? It is really important that you do in future to filter out the stuff you don't want going into your veins, as it can cause a lung disease called talcosis. I would also encourage you to take a look at the IV complications/technique megathread.

Anyway, the most pressing thing now is to get to a doctor as soon as you can or you are risking serious consequences.. the sooner the better. Good luck!

Moving this to OD as they deal with IV complications..

BDD > OD

2 X 2 " is pretty big. It sounds like it could be an abscess. When it comes to stuff like this, it's always best to shoot first and ask questions later... as in go see a doctor, do not ask people on the internet what to do in a medical emergency.

If you have to post on here with a thread title starting with "Need Help Badly!!" in regards to IV complications, you already know you should see a doctor. What's a quick trip to your GP's office to be checked out and get some antibiotics? I've had shit like that happen, all kinds of nasty infections and rashes from shooting up. I just go to the doctor and I'm usually in and out in ten minutes with a antibiotic script that I can use in the future if the same thing happens again.

We can't really give out medical advice here, as few of us are trained physicians or psychiatrists. The best we can tell you is to go to the emergency room right away.

In the future, do not try drain a bump or an abscess. Hot Compresses can help reduce swelling, but really the best thing to do is to see a doctor.

^ definitely, it's not safe to try to drain an abscess yourself! It needs to be sterile and done by someone who knows what they are doing. The only really safe option is to see a doctor as zneg said..
